Bought the car back in Oct 2005 with 14 miles on the odo. Drove it home from the port and put on new sway bars front and rear along with front and rear strut tower braces. Also put on a turbo timer, eyelids, and tinted the tail lights before owning the car for a full day. Then I put on some "cuda" stripes and put yellow tint over the fog lamps and put on the Mopar Stage 2 kit (new computer, injectors, wastage, map sensor).
I then got a ported intake mani, intake, direct port water/meth, gauges galore, Mopar Stage 3 coilovers, shifter, 3" downpipe with cutout, poly control arm bushings, intercooler, and a manual boost controller. Took it to a dyno in England and put down some respectable numbers.
293HP @5300RPM
335TQ @3400RPM
I moved here and got some new rims and tires
Then the last snow of last winter and I hit a pole.
I pocketed the insurance money and repaired the damage myself. With the leftover money, I bought a Valentine 1 to keep myself out of more trouble.
Took it to the dyno again to see the the difference between the England dyno and the US dyno.
Feeling the need for more speed with very little to spend, I got a nitrous kit with a bunch of safety devices that Josh or I couldnt figure out. The first 2 times I tried to spray, I got nothing. A little troubleshooting and I got everything working properly. I sprayed for the first time and my clutch begged for mercy as it slipped after flooring it on the highway.
Went shopping for a new clutch and ended up getting the Mopar performance clutch. After a healthy 12+ hour day, everything was in and running great again. While we were working on the clutch, we also traded trunklids with another black SRT so I dont have spoiler holes filled with black RTV anymore.
Everything all together and back to the dyno with the nitrous kit. I was excited about the results with just a 75 wet shot.
Now that winter is here, the big plans come about. I bought a new turbo, bigger intercooler, Brian Crower stage 3 cams and valvetrain so far. Things left to get are the fuel system, SCT tuner and some much needed slicks. I am hoping to kit 425WHP without spraying the nitrous.
I was stationed in England for 2 years. It is where I bought it there from a car dealer on base and had is shipped over. I was in Mildenhall which is about 30 min northeast of Cambridge.
Military paid for it. I didnt even have to get the lights converted or pass any of their stupid emissions/safety tests since my car was in country for less than a year. I just wish I was allowed to sell it over there. A guy offered me 20,000 pounds (~$40K) since they dont have it there.

is the turbine housing cast into the manifold? how well does it work with the wastegate off one of the runners rather than the collector?
Yeah it is cast. ****ing dodge trying to make things difficult. Normally there is an internal wastegate at the collector but is disrupts the flow and cant hold boost like an external so this manifold was modded. I have not got it all together yet but is should be ok.

That is way up there compared to where I was. One thing you have to do is go to Manchester and Blackpool when you are there. The club scene is Blackpool is awesome. Syndicate is the really big one with a revolving dance floor and 2 stories. And on one of the days they have a cover charge, most go to K2 across the street.
The mexican exhaust manifold. It was used on the first gen turbo neons south of the border. It uses a standard Garrett T3 turbine flange vs the cast in turbine housing the SRT4 & PT turbo use. You will have to find someone in the states that has one for sale or have a friend that can go to a mexican dealer since US dealers can't order the part, even if there are some in the parts system.
Ah crap. I realized the genuine mexi unit only fits the 2000ish and earlier heads. Sorry to get your hopes up Jon. That peice from slowboy doesn't look too bad.
Now I see what you meant. AGP, Kinetic, and ATP also sell that manifold. I have a few reasons I went with the mani I did.
1) With the log style manifold, you have to relocate and buy a new coolant overflow. Not too big of a deal
2) Real turbos cost alot more money. I was looking into a GT3071 or GT3076 so I can have it spool somewhat reasonable while getting the HP I am looking for. Them bastards get expensive.
I wanted to get the Stage 3 manifold and bolt up a Evo 9 turbo because they plug right into it. Reason was the cost for the turbo and manifold would be under $1000 with the performance of the Mopar Stage 3. Problem was getting a stage 3 manifold without the Stage 3 turbo. So I bought a Stage 3 turbo/mani used for $7 or $800 and had it modded for about $700. It now has a 50lb/min wheel as opposed to the Stage 3 40ish. The manifold was also ported along with the turbo and the wastegate flapper was welded shut and a flange for an external wastegate was welded on. And it was all ceramic coated.
All I need for the turbo install is the wastegate and the dump tube. Since it is still a Mopar Stage 3 turbo, all the oil/water lines bolt right up.
