the mx6 i sold ahmad would hit 13's on 17psi.

ahmad gteched a 14.3 i believe so far and is still learning to drive it.

my best gtech time was a 14.02 @ 100

Ok but these guys have essentially taken your mx6 and put slicks and a bigger turbo on it and are running 10.5x's @ nearly 140mph...

You cannot compare the two.

if I just had some tires it'd be 13s on 15 psi. 2.5 60' kinda hurt.

Sorry, but back in my day when some claimed their car was stock that meant it didn't have a swap...

So by the same regard someone with a boosted K20 swap in their hatch running on a STOCK ecu with stock internals still has a stock car?

why not? Find me a honda with a similarly sized turbo as the MX6 and you mean to tell me its going to put buslengths on it? The damn turbo on the car came stock off an 80s ford hahaha.

you are really getting confused....this record is for the motor, not the car. it has nothing to do with the car. it could be in a geo metro as long as it was a gsr motor doing the work. motor record, not car....good?

similarly sized baby **** turbos, no it wouldnt be a difference...they would still be slow

but who cares about small turbos....they are making HUGE power on a 100% stock longblock with a big turbo

why are we arguing this? One motor is good and one is not, end thread.

now im just getting confused... of course we had the option to do rwd. but didnt feel like doing the work. why would we when we were able to beat the record with stock drivetrain? thats not exactly a step you just jump to if alternatives are still able to go faster. our fwd platform still has plenty more time in it so why would we jump to rwd and couse oursleves a whole new set of issues to be worked out before we are able to be compe***ive again

this car is obviously the biggest budget build ever, I am sure there is less than $5,000 total into this car with minimal "build" time.

they could have built a rwd honda but that takes more time and more money, instead they put a car together that could have been built in a weekend and went and ran 10s all day and drove it home.

thats hardly the point, but technically speaking the motor in my Subaru is not that great in its design. The B series and the 4G63 motors are a much better 4cylinder design for hp.

Can I make 500whp on the stock longblock, yes....but we are comparing the Honda vs Mazda
