sponsor forums?

so sponsors wont' have there own forum like on SCR? If we want to do business with them we just click on there link and get ahold of them that way?

i would think that would be easier that way they wont have to keep checkin on here to see if they have any requests. i mean if they have any specials or anything i would suggest we could get something sticky'd in the classifieds or somethin.

Correct. It's a cool idea to have sponsor forums but really they have no purpose.

Usually when someone has a question or wants a quote it results in an answer like this

bring it in or pm sent.

I don't see any big forums using sponsor forums either. I can make announcments on the board, so if they are running a special i can post an annoucment so everyone knows.

Would it hurt to give them a forum? I mean what are you losing?

I mean the only real loss is having to scroll a little bit further to get to other sections of the forums.

Maybe make the sponsors pay slightly more if they'd like the option of having a forum.

no. if a sponsor really wants a sections they can request one. Otherwise i really see no need for it. scroll through scr and check those out...

here is a prime example.

I know when I log into dsmtuners.com they have lika an intro page which shows things from freatured products, freatured threads, and vendor announcements, tells who they are and what they're about in a couple paragraphs, and showcases recent tech threads. Is something like this possible for these forums? I don't know how often vendors on here really have announcements, but I always pick up good useful info on that page of the dsmtuners website.

I have no problem with more forums but when i want them to be used if i have to scroll through them. in the year and half of those sections (which were created under mike and not prez) there are only 150 threads combined most of which were either resulted in pm sent or no response from the sponsor (i'm sure a pm was sent or some communication was used but it was no posted in that thread) or last but not least a high jack attempt.

If the need for the section is warranted i will create it. Until then no dice.
