There are a good few people with LT1s who will go after LT4 hot cams... so I wasn't sure. I had it in the thirdgen... it sounded alright, but face value.. .492/.492 is pretty dinky with only 218 duration

The LT4 hotcam is absolutely worthless with stock valvetrain.. if you bump up with 1.6s , it becomes .525 lift but the duration still sucks.

I don't know about 1.7s... that'd throw some stuff way off... custom pushrods, possibly drilling the heads... not worth it... just better off picking out a big cam from comp or some other company.

Well next plans for it are
1. Put the new rear end in.. if it is a POS.. get a 12 bolt someday
Then I have not made my mind up of the order yet but headers/y pipe, plugs and wires, lca's and electron blue paint job

everything but the paint job. the paint looks fine. use that money for heads and cam. just my opinion though

yea it was painted kandy blue about a year ago.. bit too purple for my taste :(
12 bolt would be fine for my application but I do not really want to have buy one.. no slicks for my car!

if you don't really race, then don't bother with anything other than the 10 bolt. Be pointless and waste of your time.

Heads & cam package will pull from 2,600–6,800 RPM and should make *410 - 430 RWHP
with 36/42 lb. injectors, 58 MM T.B. or Monoblade, GOOD tuning, etc. This will idle similar
to the GM847 but make about 10 more HP at peak and starts making HP sooner than the
GM847. Requires 4.10 gears & 3,000 (or more) stall for best results.
The LT1 LE3 heads consist of:
Larger valve seats installed in Heads
2.05/1.60 Valves
Comp Bee Hive Springs
Titanium Retainers & 10° Locks
208 CC Intake Port
Milling, Cleaning, Assembly
Flow About 280/195

just get some 30x10 et drags and dump it. cant impress the honeys withought skinnies in the front and at the very least et streets in the back preferably though et drags.

what are you talking about? Hot cams are rated @ 1.5. Hence .492/.492 218/218 duration and 112 lsa for the LT4 hot cam. They will try to sell it off as .525 because a lot of places assume you will be going to 1.6s with the swap.. or part of the LT4 hot kit, which is lame compared to the LE3 anyways.
