she asked if they needed to provide me with a public defender but then came to the conclusion that i make enough money to afford a lawyer

or what happened was "can you afford a lawyer"
"i dont think so"
"how much do you make a month"
"$$$"
"do you support anyone else"
"no"
"i cannot appoint you with a public defender you will have to make arrangements before the court date"

That is bull ****, you should be allowed to be appointed a public defender without pricing. She can't just be like o that seems like enough to afford a lawyer. Tell her to stick it up her ass and go get a public defender.

i think i could still get a public defender but i would have to pay???? not sure how that works

If the court doesn't 'appoint' you one I think you do.
