So i was rollin down 13th when the hatch started making a funny(grinding isnt really that funny I guess) noise, I had been out doin some 8k pulls with the ol accord motor and evidently it didnt like it. It dies at one stoplight, i start it back up running like complete **** and it makes it up to 30mph, long enough to coast into a gas station. Pop the hood look around dont see much, try to start it and it sounds like the starter just spins. WTF? check the timing belt its loose, great, how many valves did I **** on this one. Call my buddy with the mobile repair unit(buick full of tools) and five minutes later im pulling the covers off. Start lining everything up, which was a ***** since I couldnt see the timing marks on the crank gear. I pop out the spark plug on the #4 cylinder and throw a straw down it so I can find TDC. First line up took me about 5 minutes, I could tell the crank gear was off a tooth so I pulled it all back off and lined it up again, another 5 minutes of ****ing around and I had it lined up. Tightened the **** out of the tensioner threw everything else back together and fired right up. Did 3 8k pulls down 13th and came home.

The whole time the asian gas station attendant was staring out the window at us and even once he came out and asked us how long we were going to take. "Just long enough to line some **** up it'll be fine no worries" as hes looking at an engine with all the valvetrain exposed and misc nuts and bolts on the concrete around the car. HA.

Cliffs: Honda fell apart I put it back together in a gas station in about 45 minutes.

Im gonna drive to GI now to pick up some stuff for MAM tomorrow. Anyone wanna tow me back to lincoln if/when it breaks at MAM?

JUST MY LUCK....AGAIN.

Sooooo I drove 84-85 all the way to GI last nite and a trooper pulls right up on my ass when I take the GI exit. Knowing I was about to get pulled over I pretty much just stopped. He pulls me out of the car, grabs my balls and then sits me down in his car. Checks my record, clean. Checks my roommates record, finds a prior drug charge and goes ape ****. Doesnt believe that Im driving from lincoln to GI at 1am to get some tires :) Asks me if I have anything illegal in the car 17 billion times, tells me to stick out my toungue, etc I have been thru it all before evidently I look like a drug dealer or something. I mean come on if I was gonna run drugs it sure as **** wouldnt be in a bright red civic with a loud fart can on it. Writes me a warning for failure to signal and sends me on my way 20 minutes later.

On my way back from colorado there was a guy in a mid 90s surbuban that was swerving all over the road. off on the ruble strips then 2-3 ft over the centerline hauling ass and almost swiped me when he passed me. well about 10-15 min later i passed him pulled over at an off ramp being held at gun point i roffled, because i almost called his ass in i bet some trucker did
