Well as some of you know I am baggin the 10...
I will get some pics up soon if I can find my damn camera usb cable, but anyway its gonna be a cantilever setup in the back AND the front. Not completely sure how the front will go but I have a decent idea how the back is gonna go.
I am shooting for 10 inches of travel as long as teh front toe doesnt get that bad from all that travel lol.
But yea what do you guys think about this 4x4 with air ride layin frame?

I like it. Now you just need something cool to power it as well.
Capt.Reynolds
30th March 2008, 12:06 PM
uhhh that 4.3l isnt cool??? 4x4 burnouts will prove you wrong bish
toom1h
30th March 2008, 12:09 PM
I guess it isn't too bad. Lets rattle can that ***** though ****... And if you get a sander I would gladly sand down the entire frame for you and atleast paint that down..
DarkSlide
30th March 2008, 12:10 PM
Turbo 4.3 would be sicc. Then you could do 4x4 burnouts with something other than bald tires haha
Capt.Reynolds
30th March 2008, 12:21 PM
my tires are not bald......
you fail!!!
but having bald tires would make it harder to do a burnout anyway holmes.
turbo would be cool but i dont think it will ever happen :(
DarkSlide
30th March 2008, 12:22 PM
is that thing tbi? you could probably do a three fitty swap
Capt.Reynolds
30th March 2008, 12:31 PM
yea jeff is tryin to get me to do it but then after i do some more moddin to the frame and body i would have to get a 4inch cowl hood, run no hood, or just cut a big ass hole in my stock hood and its gonna be driven daily and i dont wanna have to spend money on a cowl hood and a 350 would get even worse gas mileage than the 4.3 so i will stick with the 4.3 its not a race truck lolz
toom1h
30th March 2008, 12:32 PM
Yeah, I love that 4.3 just leave it and screw the haters
DarkSlide
30th March 2008, 12:32 PM
You going to paint it atleast?
Capt.Reynolds
30th March 2008, 12:50 PM
i plan on painting the frame and the body but im gonna hold off on the engine cuz i wanna take it out sometime soon and throw a gasket kit in it and seal it all up clean it and paint it black
DarkSlide
30th March 2008, 12:52 PM
I really want to see this thing done. Dropped 4x4 S10 lol
I would love me a Nissan Hardbody with a KA24E in it. There is a couple boosted and RB swapped ones running around.
Btw you still in Weebees?
Capt.Reynolds
30th March 2008, 02:45 PM

baggedmazda
1st April 2008, 01:41 AM
u should have just back haved it and done a stock floor while u are at it. If you just bagin it you can keep the stock hood and throw a 350 in it
Capt.Reynolds
1st April 2008, 05:04 PM
well i gotta z the frame an inch or two in the front and i didnt really want to back half it cuz honestly i didnt want the install to take 2 years, hence why im not body droppin it. Im not sayin that i will never body drop it cuz i would like to sometime but i wanna just focus on one thing at a time, so bags come first then the z in the frame then i have tub the firewall and move the heater blower motor over and still make it work then on to the interior ect. But i just wanna get it drivable and get a better place to do a body drop sometime.
coop
1st April 2008, 05:33 PM
its a sad day to see that happening.....to each his own though....
i dont regret selling this to go to japan though

fail and with those cv angle you will wear them out fast
baggedmazda
2nd April 2008, 12:31 AM
Back having is so easy you can just take the cab off and do it just z up front then it looks clean out back i wish i would have done that with my mazda would have never sold it but i will be back out with something else maybe soon if a deal on a taco comes thru
Capt.Reynolds
2nd April 2008, 03:52 PM
yea i wouldnt mind a taco at all, and that cv angle is why i am z'in the frame up front. those poor axles are just to there binding point all the way down in that pic. I wanna do a diff link setup and **** out back when i get enough moneys to change it and then i would be a good time to back half it, but i dont think a stock floor BD is gonna be too pretty with the t case and **** i would have to move the floor up anyway so it might be cleaner lookin if i do a traditional and have a lower seat frame so i dont look like a giant drivin a clown car.
I work with a dude thats in severed ties and hes diggin the truck so far although it prolly wont ever be nice enough for severed.... but i might talk him into helpin with some shizz.
but im gonna go out and put some hours in kids
baggedmazda
3rd April 2008, 12:33 AM
Who is in severed around here? i found me a mazda that looks promising today he ripped the upper control arm out acouple days ago driving so he want to get rid of it. Don't sound too bad bd'd on 17in lades for 500 no bags but i am gona make some tube arms and rebag at work if i get it. Why would you not take out all the 4x4 crap so it wont bind. There are some work logs on broncos can't remember where thou
Gentoo
3rd April 2008, 09:38 AM
why would you bag a 4x4 s10, when there are 2wd's around here to be had for cheap...theyre a dime a dozen...to each their own though...
DarkSlide
3rd April 2008, 12:18 PM
Because he wants unique. I think it'll be ballin'
baggedmazda
3rd April 2008, 02:25 PM
if unique means spending way more money for no reason and having it lay out way worse with lots of problems
DarkSlide
3rd April 2008, 02:26 PM
He doesn't seem to be spending a whole lot of money tho
Gentoo
3rd April 2008, 02:29 PM
if unique means spending way more money for no reason and having it lay out way worse with lots of problems
Nickels
3rd April 2008, 05:42 PM
because he got the 4x4 for cheap.. and originally planned on making a lifted 4x4 ten.. BUT changed his mind, lol
baggedmazda
4th April 2008, 12:24 AM
so rip all that crap out and put some junk yard 2wd stuff on it dont try to lay out with 4x4 it just binds and reck more stuff than just taking it out to start with.
Nickels
5th April 2008, 01:30 PM
whats the fun without a challenge?
baggedmazda
5th April 2008, 03:49 PM
A clean bagged truck would be the answer
DSMMIKE
5th April 2008, 09:36 PM
how bout a clean bagged 4x4 truck bish!
Capt.Reynolds
6th April 2008, 10:43 AM
the whole point of this build is to bag a 4x4 truck... soooo in ripping out all the 4x4 stuff and spending a whole bunch more money i dont need to spend to convert it to 2wd would be well, not only taking the easy way out and just doing what everyone else does but it would be pointless for this build since i wanna bag a 4x4... teh z in the front frame is so that it will lay without binding the axles and that axle angle will be better. I dont see why a bagged 4x4 cant be clean but a 2wd can... but whatever this is a work in progress and not even close to being done. when it gets closer to being "done", when its at least drivable i think you will see that bagging a 4x4 is a challenge and it can look nice a lay out just like a 2wd its just harder to make it lay thats all.
besides when im drivin you only see the back suspension and it looks just like a 2wd from there..........
Mr. Jeff
7th April 2008, 01:09 AM
put a clean bagged 2wd right by a murdered out **** lookin 4x4 bagged truck, what truck is going to get looked at more?
baggedmazda
7th April 2008, 02:32 AM
there is only one rule if it can't drag frame then you are lame
Capt.Reynolds
7th April 2008, 09:08 AM
dood my **** is sittin on the frame right now..... the only part that is not on the ground is the front and its like 1 inch up cuz of my 28.9" tire diameter (its like a 23" rim) so when i get a lil smaller tire it will drop it 1.5" and then the 2-3 inch z will make it so it will lay rail front to back without binding the front axles
Nickels
7th April 2008, 08:53 PM
looks pretty decent to me, i dont see why its bad.
Should he have bought ball valves and copper line?
baggedmazda
8th April 2008, 12:25 AM
ball valves are way old school thats the one thing i was changing on my truck but i sold it before hand but i won't put plastic air line on my trucks they get holes to easy do hydro line with brass fittings its more but it will last for years
Capt.Reynolds
9th April 2008, 04:25 PM
dot air brake line for semi-trucks FTW
baggedmazda
10th April 2008, 12:38 AM
ya it is prone to getting holes over time hyro hose is tough as **** most likely will never get a hole

i take full responsibility for selling it to nick.....i am sorry tim.....i truly am
Nickels
20th May 2008, 06:20 PM
Well, when i sold it Ryan, the original plan was to swap a solid front axle and make it into a decent offroader.. but my brother just couldnt get far from his roots..
Mr. Jeff

wow lots of hate from people that prolly would have no idea where to start with a project like this.

^ lot of hate from people who owned this truck before this was done to it.....
watch the FTP video....
Capt.Reynolds
22nd May 2008, 04:10 PM
I used to tear the **** out of it too mang, jumpin and slurpin though mud, but yet again i will say this... The whole reason i did this to this truck is because i always wanted to bag a 4wd, so doin it to a 2wd would be pointless (to me) at least for this build.......
Mr. Jeff
22nd May 2008, 04:55 PM
this looks way cooler than when it was lifted

seen it the day i posted.....looked way better lifted
Nickels
25th May 2008, 01:32 PM
That is of course if you are not a fan of mini trucks. Personally i think the truck is badass looking. Lifted or laying frame, its a badass truck
coop
27th May 2008, 12:11 PM
im a fan of minitrucks.....long boxed B2000 and 2wds like they should be
Mr. Jeff
27th May 2008, 05:02 PM
this truck will not see the mud if i have anything to do with it, witch i really dont but.....
coop-minitrucks are now all about 2wd s-10s hardbodies or b-mazdas. its about doing something diffrent, creative, and making people think,"how did he do that". i would say if anybody is a fan of minitrucks at all, you would like this truck. its too bad you guys dont think with an open mind about this project, you might see that you kinda like it.
i find it kinda funny too that you guys say this "was" a nice truck before ryan got his hands on it. after he droped almost $1k into fixing all the problems with it, thats when it was a nice truck.
coop
27th May 2008, 05:06 PM
if nick spend 1k fixing stuff he got ANALLY RAPED NO LUBE
Nickels
27th May 2008, 08:12 PM
He was saying my brother spent about 1k fixing it up.. which i dont think it was that much, ALTHOUGH it was jumped, and beat.. very hard, by both of us.
I spent a couple hundred or so on it shortly after i bought it. that was about it.
Then more later on when **** started breaking, lol.
Nickels
27th May 2008, 08:13 PM
And i guess the truck is white now.. getting ready to be painted. im kinda nervous about taht part
Oh and Jeff, he is just not liking the idea of the mini truck with the ten since it was at one time his, lifted and off-roadable. Its the sentimental value for him, im guessing.
Capt.Reynolds
31st May 2008, 11:23 PM
Yea i had to replace almost every joint and bushing in the front end and sealed wheel bearings are not that cheap either, and breaks ect it all adds up real quick, but now it doesnt leak anything at all and it used to leak oil and coolant and a lil brake fluid. So yea it WAS a nice truck to beat on and jump before i fixed it but now it would be a decent DD if i didnt have a car already....
Yea its white and now its got door poppers and soon a 7" wide screen and DVD and all that good ****
Kelvin
31st May 2008, 11:45 PM
pics or it didnt happen
Nickels
1st June 2008, 06:06 PM
Yea, it doesnt look bad white. Right after i got it, i had to replace the brakes and brake lines. I think that was about it.. That was like $100-200.
