Meh, it runs. Noit the best oil pressure. I have a feeling that car was doomed before you even got ahold of it Ahmad. The guy that had it before you must hae been a cobble jockey. Two pistons were in the wrong cylinders. I put them back in the correct wholes, I am not sure how long that short block will last. Runs alright though. The cam is a bit too big for that much wieght, it is mildly entertaining.

I had all the receipts for the rebuild stuff way back when I first got the car, and it was all done in Arizona. So it'd have to be the owner before last. Broughten told me about the cylinder thing, I honestly didn't even notice (unless it was something you can't tell without having it apart?)

whats the oil pressure like? It didn't seem too bad when I had it, liek I said, I remember 35-40 psi at idle and about 60 throttle

at least it runs for you though... I never heard that cam run on a good tune, i take it that it has a little bump to it? hahahahaha. cammed suburban...

You can tell if you have the heads off or the oil pan. As for the oil pan, no amount of silicone was going to seal that. Neither would of a new pan gasket. It was a stamped steal pan and someone severely overtorqued it. It took me about ten minutes with a ball peen hammer to get that thing straightened out. THe oil pressure is at 30 psi at idle, but I put a new high volume pump in it, that should peg the oil pressure guage at idle. A little loose, but no big deal, I am ust to a little loose. . . . . . . .

haha.

I know I'm partly to blame for the absurd amount of silicone. I was pissed and desperate and didn't have the means to lift the engine to put in a new gasket. However the overtorqued bolts and it being warped was probably the old owners doing. I remember posting about it, but it was a pain in the neck getting the pan off initially because it seemed like it was jbwelded on. Just tons of silicone and the bolts were all on there tighter than hell.

Well as long as it holds together for ya, then thats good.

I have my doubts, but we will see. Either way, I am keeping the roller block 350 I pulled out just in case.

i think i saw the old 3rd gen outside sheed a tear when i told her. her heart was trasplanted and now pumps hp. As for the shell it gets hauled to a 3rd gen warehouse until i have the flow to pull it to cali and finish it.

I've probably washed 1,000 of those ****ing Crete trucks. It was our goal to make the trucks not start when we were done.......
