Well I guess it is time to start a work log on my 4runner.
Here are my goals for the next few months maybe through the summer.

1. Patch some rust. I dont really care about being completely rust free but there is a fist size hole in the middle of my door. oh and get rid of the ridiculous orange rattle can paint. Ill probably murder it out. maybe just paint the whole thing with undercoating or bed liner.
2. CB install
3. Quick disconnects on my front sway bar.
4. Rear Locker(probably going to go with lockright)
5. Manual Hub conversion
6. Front locker(probably lockright as well)
7. Sliders and probably some front and rear bumpers(probably going to make my own bumpers unless someone knows of some cheap ones)

i am thinking about just cutting out some of the rust and rebuilding the panels with fiberglass. i really should be welding in new sheet metal though but i am lazy.

ive thought of that. but i will do long trips on the interstate and some towing with it so i am not sure if it would be good to do. i can make some really cheap homeade disconnects though.
nick your sig says 31 inch tires. isnt that stock size. just wondering. are you locked front and rear?

i will update this soon.
i have a marlin crawler HD clutch sitting in the back seat and 1.5 inch lift OME HD rear springs coming in the mail. those will hopefully go in this week and next.
next on the list is some red neck body work and paint and then a rear locker.
forget about sway bar disco i broke the links on my sway bar about a month ago.

Ive driven my truck to Kearney before with no problems, and have towed my boat with it. Although, ive never had the sway bar on, so im not sure what the difference is with it, lol.
Im rocking 33s and a 3 inch lift. I didnt have my sig updated for a while.

I was test driving a wrangler at capital mitsubishi one day, everytime i turned i felt like it was going to roll. The guy was stumped, assured me it went through a 1xx point inspection. He got the manager, he came out, as i was noticing the sway bar wasnt hooked up, he told me it hasnt been through inspection yet, then asked me to come in and talk some numbers.. i was like uhhhh

Just changed the clutch. Installed Marlin Crawlers HD clutch kit.
Also just put in some OME 901 HD rear springs. Got about 1.5 inches over my old saggy ones.
Also changed diff, tranny and tcase fluids to castrol syntec.
Also extended my diff breathers.
Next up is paint.

Are you sure you want a Lockright in the front? I have one in my K5 and it doesn't turn worth much on dry ground. I can only imagine what it'll be like this winter. If it was something I was going to DD I'd either leave the front open or go selectable.

that project is going to get pushed out into the future. but i will have manual locking hubs before i do that. i can just leave it in 2 wheel and it will be like my old 4 wheel with a lockright in the back.

Cool enough. The truck in my sig has a Lockright in the rear and barely needed 4x4 at all last winter.

that is kinda what i was thinking. and i can deal with being locked in the front if need be to get through some deep **** or something.
