Looking for someone to play GH3 expert. I am the only one around at the house that's at my level... Curt is here but he is way better than me lol

Too bad I live all the way on the south side of town. I'm probably a little bit below Curtis' level, I can play everything except the last 5 songs on expert all day long

lol well i'm just starting on expert i'm stuck on the second set of songs lol

well to be honest.. i'm on the first. but i know i can beat the song easily. i just haven't done it yet. but still the first set is a little challenging for me. i don't want to finish hard. i just wanna play nothing but expert. i don't care how many times i fail, it will be right one of these times.

I always thought hard was pointless. Hard and expert are almost exactly the same they just throw more chords at you and sometimes the notes are a little different. If you can keep up with just the speed of hard, then making the jump to expert is easy.

If you're ever on the south side of town I'll fire up guitar hero, I've got rock band too :woot:

lol decent, i like the speed i think its more fun. i hated being on medium. i would always hit the keys early, i got tired of waiting i guess lol

i just can't hop around the fret board with three note things every where lol

i can hardly do two lol

holding a color, consistently strumming and only hitting a higher note every so often.

I had an advantage over most people because I'm retarded. I never read any instructions, or did any tutorials, and I zoomed through career mode as fast as I can just to unlock songs.

I didn't know any advanced techniques like hammer ons, pull offs, or the ability to hold a lower note while playing a higher note. I was able to play almost all the songs on expert strumming every note, then once I figured all that stuff out suddenly the game because a whole lot easier

yeah the only thing i really do is not strum what i don't have to. i don't do anything special otherwise, might be why i am teh suk

I pretty much still always do it the hard way. I'm the only person I've ever seen who plays "Tenactious D - The Metal" without using a single Hammer-on.

hammer-on is holding the lower note correct?

i never play that song.

when i hop on gh there are like 10 songs i'll even consider playing.

A hammer on is when you play multiple notes in a row without strumming. I don't know the name for holding a lower note.

i'll be starting out at easy in a couple weeks when my copy of GH3 on Wii gets here. in time, i'll meet up with all you experts and have a guitar-off

Start on medium easy is retarded. Maybe try easy once or twice, if you're at all coordinated you'll pick it up in 5 seconds, then just go to Medium and don't look back.

On easy you only use 3 fret buttons (there are 5) and there is no rhythm and it's incredibly repetitive. On medium you use 4 frets (you still don't have to slide your hand) and there is a slight amount of rhythm and not changes.

Also, don't bother with hard. Once you can dominate medium hard and expert will both be equally difficult, there is just a few more chords in expert for the most part.

if you have never played gh 1, 2 or 3 then i'd play easy, but only for a couple songs. then i'd hit medium. easy doesn't teach you anything. medium will slowly familiarize you with different types of playing, what i call rev's, going from say green to blue hitting each note. then there's stuff like two colors and then switching to a different combination. always challenge yourself if you want to get better. that's why i play expert but blow ass at it then everyone around me looks at me like im a retard... i would like to see them play lol

i love notes that are randomly placed around the screen that is the most fun.

i want there to be GH4: Solos lol Often you'll see me go to a song, hit start, select practice, then select the solo section(s) and just play them and then do it on another song.

I would say play hard for a little bit.. like a week. expert can be overwhelming on many songs..

damn all this talk i think i'm going to play now.
