i went to autozone and they said that it was the bettery, but people keep telling me to be careful if i change the battery myself because of the electrical crap, and if i do it myself i could mess something up. and i jus got the car so i dont want to **** it up. so if you know something i dont know about it jus let me know, because i am retarded when it comes to electrical shyte, and alot of other things!!! thanks

You just turn the car off, unplug it, and plug the new one in, there is no trick. You might have some of your systems reset like your trip odo or something like that, but there should be no problems. Worst case scenario you make it spark a little and blow a fuse.

Just make sure the keys are in your pocket when you do it.

yeah and if you have an aftermarket alarm make sure you disable it otherwise you'll scare the **** out of yourself like I did. I had a siren blaring about 2 feet from my ear the second I removed the negative battery cable

I can't tell if you have yellow text on this post or not.
You disconnect the negative, then disconnect the positive.
BUT OMG OMG. The time on your radio will change.
And I can't believe I'm actually saying this... But once the battery is out.. It doesn't matter if the positive and negative touch.

This man is correct. Negative then positive. As far as messing electronics up, you might see a little spark but that's about it.
