GN RX7 went bye bye today.. :(

So due to the financial debt I have encountered with owning and building the GN RX7 and the LS1 FD, it was time to let one of them go.

Today, some guys came from Canada to check out the car, and ended up leaving with her. I got damn near what I wanted out of it, so I can't complain, but about cried like a baby when it was finally loaded on the trailer. Here are some pics of her before she left today:

well, I was asking $13k at first. Ended up getting close enough to that to sell it. Basically it came down to "was the car practical?", and the car wasn't, it was built when we had a track close by, and now that there is no track, its a waste.

Also, my taste changed, I need a car that can do a 1800 mile road trip, get beat the **** outta on the strip, then make it home.... and the FD can supply that.

The car has the motor/turbo setup for mid 10's in a grand national.. the RX7 is over 1000lb lighter, soo, in theory, it should be capable of 9.90's.

FD ran a 12.2 @121mph... with a 2.2 sixty foot, so yes, traction was an issue. Not bad for an un-tuned cam only car.

****, it sucks because I sold a car that I put alot of time and money into.. and I can't touch a cent of the selling money... doesn't even cover my debt. But, it almost does, so I basically have a free LS1 FD, and when it comes time to sell it, it will be for pure profit. So I guess thats nice to think about.

But for right now, I feel like I just gave away a car just so some magical number on my credit cards goes down... ****ing bullshit.

I would go ahead and say LC2 ftw, but the FD/LS1 combo is an all around better car for doing anything. (ie. racing/cruising/road trips/looks/ect)
