I dont know how many of you guys have diesel powered vehicles, but after doing this, I am convinced that this is one of the first mods any diesel owner in a cold climate should do.
I was having issues starting my truck in the cold, even when plugged in. I changed extension cords, outlets that I was using, etc in trying to heat the block heater, but no matter what I did, it just kept acting like the fuel was gelled up. Well I tested my glow plug relay and that tested perfect. So I began to inspect the power cord that ran from the block heater to the extension cord. I found that near the base of the plug, weather and debris had eaten away at the cord. So I hopped on PowerStroke.org to look up my options and found this mod. Now everything works AMAZING. The only thing I am thinking about doing is adding an indicator light just so I can make sure everything is working right just by looking at it.
