Picked it up yesterday. So far I love it.

Looking to ditch the 31" mud tires though and get some 32" AT's. May go 33" but I don't wanna trim the fenders just yet.

It photographs well but its got some flaws. A few dings and scratches. Its been on a few trails and you can tell. Passenger door had the key hole busted out by an attempted theif. Overall though it is the cleanest jeep I looked at in this price range.

I paid $4500 for it.

Gas was like $45 bucks I think? Gas in Illinois was 3.23 for 93 octane.

89 was 3.35 at the Casey's on 56th/Superior/Havelock. Premium was 3.49. This was Wednesday. I put 8 gallons in, cheapest fill up I've had in probably 4 years.

$4500 isn't terrible. I bought my 99 with a 4" lift and 33's for 3k. It was red and flawless. Good looking XJ for sure.

A/Ts are for homosexuals if you plan to actually go off the pavement.

If you went to a 32" a/t tire it would likely be the same size or smaller than a 31" interco tire which is what you have on it now.

I agree. Mud tires on a pavement pounder is also homosexual. I'll get a second set of wheels and tires to swap on for real off road stuff.
