I need a head gasket replaced on a 87 Porsche 944. I'm curious about price, and when you would be able to do it. Thanks.

We dont work on Porsche's. Im sure we could do it but you would be better off calling Jerry Kierstead. He is a Porsche god. He comes in to dyno them all the time.
His # is 483-7479

You know when you get a Hayne's manual and you go to the chapter to do what you want to accomplish and it has all those steps to do the job? Yeah, not like that for a Porsche half of the work packages actually say "take vehicle to a dealer".

LOL, I always love those sections. "Repairs to xxx require specialty tools and equipment and are best left to a dealer or certified mechanic".

Also known as "Don't be an idiot. You can't fix it. You may want to and your cheap ass thinks you can do it. If you try, the shop that you eventually take it to will charge you more to fix it than if you had left it alone. This is referred to as the butthead fee."

I was amazed how many vehicles came in on the hook when people thought they could do it and got WAY over their heads.
