A certain forum leader of another local forum told one of its registered users that "headers naturally leak".....

Is it just me or is that a bunch of horse **** considering I tossed the ones on my ls1 with stock bolts and walked away, and even the seward guy put on the headers on my car with no problems.

So I ask you, good citizens of lincoln... what do you think?

it's common for them to be a piece of **** and not fit right which could result in leakage, but I can't think of any other reason.

There's nothing inherent about the design of headers that makes them "naturally leak". If they leak you either ****ed up installing them or you bought cheap SS Auto chrome ****.

newer headers shouldnt have any leak issues at all with the thick flanges used today but headers we use to buy 20 years ago yeah they were built like **** and always leaked.
