That's a pretty price. Heck, that's what I paid for a used one 6 years ago and it was a steal!

OK. someone help me out here, i'll be the first to admit i don't know squat when it comes to widebands/dataloggers.

obviously the wideband just measures your A/F.... and this one does just that, and will not do any datalogging, correct? what do you need to do datalogging? and are the widebands getting better as to where you can leave them in all the time? i thought i remember hearing that you should only have it in when you're tuning and not 24/7 as it will burn up the O2 or something. this still true?

I'm wanting to get a wideband/datalogger for my ZX12R, but don't necessarily want to spend $500+

**so i would need one of these to be able to datalog properly, correct?

if you want to datalog on the bike I would use the power commander LCD.

http://www.powercommander.com/powercommander_ex/powercommander_lcd.aspx

then you could switch between maps and such also.

it would also require the multiport hub for the wideband input, but then you could control the nitrous with the power commander and those options are nice.

so $300, and I would still need to buy a wideband to plug into it? why not just get the LM-1 kit plus RPM kit? I don't see what advantage this would give, minus being able to adjust your PC3 on the fly.

OK, would make it easier to switch maps. but i see this, plus wideband, plus multibport hub, etc. just to fancy for what i want. nice, sure, but not within my budget.

i only plan to spray a 20-30 shot, maybe 40 if i decide to go risky. i don't need anything fancy.

i want to hit the switch to enable the nitrous and have it spray above 90% throttle with an rpm window in 2-6th gears. takes the idiot factor out of spraying. thats why i bought the multiport hub. i dont plan on buying the LCD because i dont plan to datalog.

i'm probably going to hook up a simple master arm with WOT switch. i roll off the throttle to shift anyways, so hopefully it will work OK

yeah well youve done this a lot longer than i have.

true. will be my first time on a bike though. i'm not to worried though, just a small shot, and just rolling off the throttle will stop the flow

As far as I know its OK to leave them in. I had mine innovative/bosh in for about 10k miles before I sold the car. And I was having fun with the 2-Step for most of that period too.

**** YES! solves my wideband dilemma, I really didn't want to buy the LC1 and XD-16 which is the bets combo. goodbye aem, hello innovate.

how much does the sensor cost to replace and does it have shitty reliability like the rest of their stuff? (insert comments and lame ass flames here)

i have had exactly 0 problems with my AEM and sensors are cheap if i need to replace. havent had to yet either. it was in my mustang for a year and has been in my merkur for 2 more. the sensor is used in an OEM application by volkswagen.

good price though.

cool story bro, I've already got a datalogit.

I currently have an AEM and have problems with it interfacing with my datalogit. The sensor looks to be about 80 bucks to replace.

what problems are you having? whenever i get around to actually needing to tune my **** i will be using quarterhorse for the ford EEC which has logging and realtime tuning.

where go you buy replacement sensors?

I'm not even sure, its been well documented in the past that the AEM Uego wideband and the Apexi PFC datalogit do not like to work together. Nobody knows why.
