u can already buy a seperate hd-dvd drive for ur 360. they had a **** ton of em at best buy when i was there yesterday

No... i would not be all over it.. formats dont' last 3 years... based off the previous formats VHS, DVD one can expect them to last a good decade. With that said. i'm confident Blu ray will win out. PS3 sales are up which will help drive Blu ray sales. More titles are available in blu ray and with the large production companies backing blu ray it's just a matter of time. Paramount is really the only company keeping the HD DVD sales moving... why? because they SOLD out to the HD DVD camp for i believe 1 year.

Paramount took a kick in the pants when they announced they would stop Blu ray publications.

to be honest... i doubt MS would put an HD DVD player in their 360 v91. Unless they started making games in HD which they won't because of production cost.

i'm going to enjoy quoting all of this when HD DVD's are no longer published by any of the major studios, and bungee finds a way to make titles for the on the PS3.

BTW.. which console do you think had better graphics... the xbox... or the PS2?? answer is the xbox..... PS2 still kicked the **** out of it.. Which had better graphics.. the 360 or the PS2?? again the 360... and again the PS2 has kicked it's ass. So what do you think will happen when the PS3 has all it's titles, and is making full use of it's power???

The PS2 in the first couple quarters of this year outsold both the PS3 and the 360. It did so because of the fan base. So even though the PS2 had inferior graphics it had a large supply of fans that kept it going strong 7 years later.... **** the xbox series isn't even that old combined. :rofl:

The reality is those fans will carry over. As the price of the PS3 drops and becomes easier for consumer to justify it will start to fly off the shelves just as fast and to jsut as many consumers as the PS2...

in that case it's a possiblity... but to make that a far comparison the pS3 and blu ray would have to had been introduced at the same time.. in which case i probably would have sided with the PS3. If blu ray wasn't an option at all and i had the funds i might have purhcased one then... but i couldn't justify getting the 360 to begin with when i had a PS2.
