I'd like to see the hard numbers on how corvettes are the best vehicles at retaining their value... that seems pretty far fetched to me at least.

i didn't make the list... but if i were to guess a domestic i'd say the vette. Just knowing how people react to vettes it makes sense... I didn't come out to culvers much this year... but when i did.. i'd pull in, get out, pop hood step away and get to about as far as the other side of the car next to me and there would already be someone breathing on my paint. nearly sniffing my leather.. I can't explain it... I could put 100k more on my car and probably get what i paid for it. I'd bet if i put my car in the paper today i could ask 22 $5k over what i paid and far over Blue book.. but it would sell. Some guy would get a loan and shell out the differnece. It's just a built in thing for alot of older guys that corvettes are the greatest cars EVER!!!.

****.. i raced prez in his evo "rice" to the older domestic guys... got tickets and he had me by a good car and a half... when i got to sam's this older guy comes up to me.. (i've never seen him before) and asked who one like as if i did... ummm the evo did... he's look of disappointment was as if his whole belief system just fell apart... prez should feel really bad for taking advantage of my old worn out tires...

BTW the orginal retail value of my car in 1998 was about 37k... if you figure that and compare it to the going rate of a C5 you will find they retain atleast 50% of their value.
