I'll be curious what the magazines get out of it. It would be cool to see it run 10's right out the door but I have a feeling with the low end those motors already make and planting a roots blower on top of it isn't going to make it very traction friendly.

Hopefully they don't pull anything gay with it like the SRT-4's where it doesn't make full power until 3rd gear.

It's low enough volume that it could be a twin screw. It could also be the new Eaton TVS, which according to my friend at Eaton is better than a twin screw anyway.

Its true. I just have to throw that in there to possibly cause an argument. This is how I go about my day. :lol:

The Z06 just passed up the GT's 1/4 times too. I've been waiting for somebody to crack a 10 with the GT, but I'm pretty sure the car is still stuck at a 11.1 unlike the Z06. The GT has done 130mph traps though. The facts speak for themselves on both cars. The GT is a supercar. It costs more money. The Z06 is a Corvette that outperforms supercars for half the price. It's lighter then the GT too. The only downfall to the Z06 is that it can't double it's whp without tearing down the engine if you really want to start comparing things. Actually you can't do much more then a cam and bolt-ons without tearing down the engine. The GT motor on the other hand is nasty, but it doesn't matter when comparing stock cars. I think its safe to say that the Z06 is one of the baddest cars ever built.

Having a motor that can double it's whp stock isn't a big selling point when you're dealing with that kind of money. For $85,000 more I'm sure I could pay someone to build me a motor that could handle 4x as much power without ever getting my hands dirty.

I agree. Like I said, it really doesn't matter when it all comes down to the car's factory performance. The Z06 can do everything the GT can for a lot less $$. Too bad the Z06 will never have the supercar looks of a GT. That is where it becomes justifiable to spend $160k on a GT. :lol1:

i don't get on much anymore.. appreciatly this is pretty new stuff anyways... major :Thumb: to pushing the Z into the 10's on stockers... With that extra 150hp the ZR1 should be ****ing nuts...

I'm not even going ot discuss the GT Vs Z06... the most obvious has been said and agreed. Chevy has simply outdone themselves time after time... if someone said in 1997 that the LS1 was going to evolved and in 2007 the Corvette would not have pop up head lights and would runs low 10's from the factory everyone would have been :rofl:....

The LSx series is just amazing. I can only wonder whats next.:confused:

In the current housing market in Michigan, a GT is a better investment than a house. If I had bought a GT instead of a house, the GT would still be worth at least what I paid for it. My house, I don't even want to know what it's worth but I can guarantee it isn't worth near what i paid for it :(

They tried to put skinnies and drag radials on but the skinnies didn't fit and the drag radials were shorter and actually netted them less traction, I'm pretty sure the 10 they ran was bone stock. It's been a while so I could be mistaken.

Kind of like that dumb ass TV show where people modded cars and then raced each other and their baseline runs determined how much of a head start they got on the other car. They ran 1000' track and I think calling it that was a little optimistic based on their times.

I would trade the GT and the Z06 for that sweet Civic in your sig. The Z06 and GT may have ran 10's once or twice, but that Civic is the only one that can run them consistently for $2,500 on 175/70R13 Kumho power star street tires every day of the week.

Na, the just tend to beat the ever living **** out of cars and powershift them faster then Hibs on crack. :lol: The funny thing about that though, is they were able to run a 12.4 with a stock vert 03 Cobra, a 12.5 out of a 00 Cobra R, a 12.9 out of a stock LS1 Camaro, yet couldn't crack a 13 with a 93 Cobra R. Thats odd, considering a Fox Body will "run 13s" out of the box. :joe:
