oh those 3rd gear problems i have... so annoying. I think I have a way to remedy this, and so far preliminary testing proves it should go away.

anyways..

i get him out the hole a half car, and he was right at my side when i missed third.. gay.

we go from a roll on the way back, and he pulls a half car ahead at about 105-110.

He didn't believe me that all I had were gears, cutout and air lid.

when i saw him race in the spring time he launched way to hard and spun and killed it on his launch once and on his pre burnout a couple of times and missed gears multiple times

^^^ no but thats where I think you are right about them potentially being a problem. Its torquing the drivetrain enough to throw off the shifting at higher RPM... which if I keep the same angle I do just normally driving, it might be off a cm or 2, which will make me miss a gear.

I tried last night practicing shifting... this time I would go more up than to the side... almost like i'd be throwing it back in first gear, but I hit 3rd every time. So until I can stop it from torquing, thats how I gotta shift. But thanks for reminding me, now I know what I was supposed to be looking for lol

yep, poly mount for the trans. I think my control arm bushings may be shot too. So those will get the poly treatment. Now I just need to find these motor mounts..

I think those spohn ones only work with the tubular k member but I could be wrong. I bought the prothane engine mounts for mine but never put them in. they're stiffer, and alot of crybabies say they send a lot of vibration through the car. **** that. run prothane. don't be a pansy. ;)

fast is a realitive term. He's no low 12 sec car. I've beat him several times up north and unless he's done some other modding in the last 2 weeks I pulled his ass hard at 56th and pioneers. With an extra 240lbs and a full tank of gas in car. i'd guess he's a high 12 or low 13.

Nice run! There was a black procharged new edge hanging around in columbus last year. It had a decently built motor. Ran 11.70's with 500 RWHP on 11psi.

There was also a stock mustang gt here at the track early in the summer. He was stock...except for a procharger. I think his best time was a 13.6.

The car has seen about everything. When he first bought it, he was able to walk my 03 GT pretty badly with just full exhaust, CAI, and pulleys if I remember right. It was well into the 13s. After that he threw in some Crower cams, upper plenum, gears, and put down a little over 300whp. Then he sprayed it and popped the motor due to BAD lean issues. I think it was making a hair over 400whp when it blew.

After that he threw in another 16v and Procharged it and made 520whp and almost 600tq. He got tired of that and cammed that Aviator 32v. That was 357whp.

there is a little vibration, but with poly motor and trans mount nothing moves....but makes getting to the bell housing bolts a pain, since the motor dosen't sag...

I know of the guy your talking about. Used to see him roam york, and he cant drive. He raced a buddy of mine's 89 formula with exhaust and gears. His car WAS slow, and he even beat him.
