Not really dirt bike per say, but motard's/supermoto's/dual purpose bikes. Pretty much every state surrounding NE you can get road tags for things like ATV's and dirt bikes as long as they have all the necessary utilities. I'm sick as hell of street only bikes and I want to title a supermoto here in NE. According to the info I got from Seward county, if the bike is bought and already has a street title then you can do it, yet you don't see ANY anywhere driving on the roads. So, my question is, what am i missing? Does anyone know some more about this, or tried to in the past?
Looking at this right now. SMR's come from the factory with street titles and I called the guy to make sure. I dont see why i couldnt register that here in NE.

The way I understand it if the title is set as 'off road use' (or whatever they brand dirtbikes/ATV's) then you are pretty much SOL.

I see a few around every couple of weeks, I always thought in nebraska it was completely illegal to ride them on the street.

In the country it is legal, the city decides if they will allow it in there limits. Fairbury choose yes and the cops were pissed. For a few weeks there was 20 plus in town. Now I bet one or 2 at the most. Really isn't a big deal anymore. I would ride mine if I wasn't too lazy to pull the paddles.

There used to be a guy that worked at starcity with a street legal RM450 and he would drive it to work occasionally. pretty sure a RM450's title would be set as off road.

A dual sport comes from the factory with a street legal title. Its just like a regular motorcycle. Anything else has an offroad only title and cannot be liscenced. Some counties/towns have chosen to allow atvs and dirt bikes on the road. Yes some times you can get a regular dirt bike from a different state with a street title but your ****ed if you get caught.

nebraska's gay motorcycle laws won't let you license anything that came from the factory with an Off-Road Use only title even tho it cleared inspection.
