I autocrossed that car for a season.
It sucked(at autocrossing).

All we did was take the cat off, but the way those are designed, there's only a couple feet of exhaust anyway.

That guy's my friend John Lehman, he also has a europa.

FAULK! More than once I thought about declining the offer and going back to my Nissan.
Then I decided I'd rather suck driving a lotus than kick ass in a Altima.

John will race anyone.

He was my neighbor for a few years. A guy up the street thought a lot of his 944 turbo and was always bragging on it. John offered to race. The guy says "sure". Totally deadpan John says "we're racing for titles". The guy goes "are you serious, what if I win?"
John says, "If I loose to your piece of **** Porsche I don't want that car anymore anyway."

Porsche owner backed down.

had a heck of a time finding good tires for them since the size is weird and they're staggered.

I love the Lotus cars... If I could afford one I would... heck, if I didn't love my Camaros so much that would probably be what I would own...

As for the color... the wheels on that car are hideous but the dark Green color is teh sexez... Dark green has always been a color favorite in the european racing scene... Thats why I love my Z's color... the color harkens back to racing legends and being that the car had european styling cues for the time I think it's fitting.

hrmmm... maybe I should sell the Berly and find a Lotus???

that color combo wasn't chosen at random, it was their formula 1 team colors while Jim Clark was the driver.

That car was both awesome and a huge letdown. At legal speeds that car felt like a piece of crap. Loose, vague, heavy, all at once. The interior looked worse than anything you'd find at a KIA dealer(other than the seats where okay). It really reminded me of some kind of sadistic kit car. But then you'd get it up to speed....
Or just see a reflection of yourself in it, that was cool too.

I see it parked down at The Pub all the time, guy must be thirsty. When I see it John Deere comes to mind. They are pretty good looking and green is the classic British racing color.

When you don't see it there, it's 'cause he drove his truck.
