ok so i have this red 1990 eclipse gsx. i bought it in council tucky for 800 bucks. no engine or drivetrain. some rust but it had sicc accented interior and i figured id give it some love and treat her right. i brought it to colorado with me and redid most of the wiring. this consisted of getting rid of anything meant for pleasure....ac, heat, power windows, locks, F THAT ****. its down to headlights/taillights/turn signals/engine harness. i have also moved the fuse box to be inside the passenger foot compartment. reason being a clean engine bay. i didnt like the location of it so i said F THAT ****. the interior consists of a steering wheel and a seat. the entire interior is gone including the sound deadening ****. it look all day to do it, and it was well worth wasting my 1 day off from work.

i contacted a few people on what i would need to compete with shep. in order to do this i needed alot of money and unsmart moves as i have no outlook on life other then my own personal enjoyment, even if this means going paycheck to paycheck living on sams club water and bugles.
first off i decided to go with the borg warner s366. i didnt know much about it other then the fact it was ****ing huge and it looked cool. i then reconsidered my turbo choice while looking for a block to build. i was speaking with a citizen of omaha when he mentioned he had a nice turbo for sale. it was brand new never used and he purchased it at the texas supra meet. I WAS SOLD RIGHT THERE!!! along with the gt4067 i purchased, i bought a 6 bolt 2.0 block along with a 2.4 crank, essentially making a 2.3 stroker.
after paying rent with money i didnt have i waited for my next check to see what was left to spend on my addiction. i found a decent rod/piston combo for a ridiculously large amount of money. my initial rod choice was oliver, and je stroker pistons. ive read good and bad on je but i didnt give a **** so i bought them. they are 8.5:1 stroker pistons (since the stroke has been increased the pistons or rods must be machined to work correctly) i ended up getting crower rods with king bearings.
after figuring out the bottom end i looked at what should be considered with the top end. after looking at some other builds i decided to go with stock sized valves as the head flows DECENT for being stock. alot of faggots have made some serious power on it so i decided to keep it stock. i went with supertech stainless valves. my most recent 'purchase' has been the ferrera dual spring high tension valve springs. i went with these because they were stupid expensive and will probly fail when i crank it over for the first time. god i cant wait! since the stock cams had way to much lift/duration i decided to downgrade to crower 280s. this should also help with the destruction of the engine.
for the intake manifold im still deciding on what to do. i want to run a wet nitrous shot to assist spooling the turbo, but i would also like to run 8 injectors. 4 injectors being set to turn on at a certain rpm, and the 'regular' 4 would be for a somewhat smooth idle and mid range/low boost.
i also purchased a used l2a intercooler by PWR. i bought this from ray off turbogarage.com he had this on his red 2g talon and ran consistant somethings with it. odds are it blew up every run which is what im shooting for. the piping is 3.5in and has a gm maf welded into it along with a 50mm tial bov flange. it is setup for a bottom mount exhaust manifold but will be modified for a top mount.
exhaust i purchased a huge useless 60mm tial wastegate. i got it because its red. for the exhaust manifold i want to get a shearer performance as the welds are ****ing weak and i want to pay for 100 dollars worth of material and 1100 for labor. seriously i could do a better ****ing job with my welding skills and i drive a god damn forklift all day. along with that ill be shooting a 4in exhaust pipe out the front bumper.
also after awhile ill be purchasing a roll bar just incase i want to look cool on o street when pius girls drive by. after shooting fireballs at there car ill drive off and hit a telephone pole praying to a god that doesnt exist that i die and never see him. thanks roll bar
drivetrain i have yet to decide. it doesnt really matter considering the fact the car will maybe turn over once and explode. if i was to purchase one though id get a shep stage 4 for some reason and hope it maybe takes some daily driving abuse. casual shifting, maybe a mid throttle pull.
for exterior i have a cf hood thats beat to **** that flew up on me one time going down pine lake it was SICC. i also purchased a cf hatch but have yet to get the lexan window and install it. i hope its mega gay like the rest of the car.
