So its coming up on my Mustang's three year anniversary since it ran last. I figured its about time I had it running again. I'm scrapping building a decent bottom end for the time being since I can't afford an aftermarket block.

Plans are:

pick up a stock shortblock and throw my stud girdle off my 331 on for some piece of mind. It comes with a trickflow stg 2 cam which I am just going to run for now.

Gonna run my trickflow heads and intake and then throw this kit on there...

http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q252/spoolintruck/photo-19.jpg

turbo's are t-3 t-4 hybrids, one needs rebuilt.

Should be enough to blow the stock bottom end to pieces, but I'm just gonna pray I can get it to stay together with a conservative tune. If not I'll just track down another cheap 302 and try again.

picking up the shortblock and turbo kit thursday, and then it will be a slow build process working on this and the truck together. Plans are to have it all done by early summer.

Its in the price range of most s trims I've been watching and seems like it has more room for potential down the road than the vortech.

Nice build man, but i guess you should have went with a 351, i had a guy on ness tell me that a factory 351 will hold up 700 to 1000 rwhp under boost. Now i never would have thought that but he must be smarter than me. LOL He even said that my lack of ford knowledge was funny cause i didnt believe him, then proceeded to show me his proof. Two forums that he had read that people said, hell yea 351 are strong they will hold a lot of power, and so on.:rolleye:

Trick
27th April 2012, 12:32 PM
Springs are good for a cam up to .670 lift, 1.6 roller rockers, stock lifters. Probably stick around 6500rpm, but we'll see what the power curve is like when it gets to that point.
