Picked it up this past sunday 3-14-10 from grand lake colorado. Its a white on white 92 awd auto.
Car is currnently at my parents in ft.collins colorado and im in steamboat on vacation skiing.
Upgrades:
3in Turbo back exhaust
stainless steet o2 housing with external dump
big 16g
slow boy racing cast exhaust manifold
supra sidemount w/ hard upper ic pipe and ghetto lower ic pipe
Forged internals on a rebuilt bottom end with approx 500 miles (slow boy stage 2) not sure on the brands yet
Slowboy stage 4 head (titanium retainers and springs & stainless steel valves) and stage 4 port work
Forced Performance stage 2 cams (not sure yet if their plain fp2's for fp2x's)
Magnus street sheet metal intake manifold with direct port n2o bungs
Walbro 255 fuel pump
Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator
Came with 550cc injectors but no way to tune replaced with 450's for the time being.
Also came with a big aluminum radiator im gonna install at a later date whe i get slim fans and also a fmic with gm maf and translator i might just sell
So far ive fixed up some haggard wiring that always goes to **** from heat on 1g dsms. cleaned up the cluster **** of vaccum lines. replaced the radiator with a spare for the time being. replaced a ball joint and tierod end.
Needs 2 front tires and an alignment bad, and theres a vaccume leak coming from either the throttle body gasket or intake manifold gasket im going to replace on saturday if i drive it back home instead of tow.
Paint on the front half is really good (doors up) minus the hood. The rear quarter is fading/ cracking but overall looks alot better than any of my previous dsms, and theres absolutly no rust except a little surface rust where theres a small dent on the rear quarter.
For now im just going to get it running and driving good and a tune. well see where if goes from there.

Update:
-got a 4 wheel alignment
-got four new falken ze 512's 205/55/16s (would have liked to do something
like falken ** 452's in a 215 or 225/50/16 but i was under a time crunch and its all i could get an afford on a days notice.)
drove the car 450 miles home from ft. collins. ran into a little trouble the first attempt. I made it 26 miles from my parents house and the tranny went into limp mode (wont shift out of 3rd gear). so i turned around and went back. Spent 6 hours reading wiring diagrams checking the tcu and tracking wires. turns out 2 wires to the high/low temp sensor has frayed 1/4 from the plug from the air filter rubbing on it for a long time and it mush have shorted/grounded out sending it into limp mode. I solderd the wires up nicely and used liquid electrical tape on them to isolate them, and it fixed my problem. Drove stright through only stopping for gas and food on sunday without a single problem WOOT!!
Near Future Plans:
Fix the brakes (rotors and warped BAD) going to upgrade to the 1g big brakes from a 93-94 awd. They are a 2 pot caliper vs. 1 and the rotors are quite a bit bigger. Luckily i already have a set of the calipers laying around so all i need are new rotors and pads.
Pic of the small vs big
http://vfaq.com/proj-pics/BigBrakes/oldvsnew.jpg
2nd i need new motor mounts BAD going to buy a set of poly inserts and try and find a set of shot motor mounts so they are ready to drop in and go.
3rd Im going to buy dsmlink and a bigger set of injectors atlest 950cc probally bigger but going to do some research first.
4th going to upgrade to a 2g maf and my old intake and bov from maas.
Edit: 5th also rebuilding the throttle body with new shaft seals (common boost leak) and new biss oring and cap (also common boost leak) since the previous owner decided to rtv it shut and i have a spare to work with.
this should get me to where i want to be for a while and ready to really pwn some noobs. Oddly enough im really starting to like this automatic thing and i addicted to the o2 dump.

Well thanks to Evane ive been doing some research to a money saving alternative to DSMLink. Basically over the last 6 months its been discoverd and research that you can run an evo8 ecu in the 1g dsm with a little wiring. What makes this so usefull is that the evo8 eco is flashable and for only about 100 bucks for a cable i can reflash aka reprogram and tune the ecu myself. Im sourceing the parts for it at the moment
Parts List:
Evo 8 ecu 100 buck
tactrix cable 100 bucks
bad 1g ecu (to make adaptor harness) 15-25 bucks
95+ mitsu ecu plugs/pigtails (sourcing)
obd1&2 plugs probally relativly free
evo 8 knock sensor 66 bucks (plus i need a new knock sensor anyway)
then just some solder work on my part and it should be golden so hopefully for easily under 300 bucks ill be able to tune my car myself and change pretty much any setting on anything that i want. Plus ill be able to resell my ecu for about 100 bucks.
Oh and here are some pics i took of the car yesterday after washing it and really cleaning the engine bay.
Some are duplicates with different exposures

well i decided against doing the evo 8 ecu. I bought dsmlink and it will be here tuesday! hopefully picking up some 1000cc injectors wednesday, and then i can run e-85.
friday i went to install my old fmic from tessy and with the auto tranny the pipes dont fit. So im selling it and sticking with the supra smic. Also fixed the bumper on the pass side. previously one of the bolts holding it to the fender was broken so if was sagging. I also installed my old forge bov so i can hold more than 16psi once i get injectors.
Ill also be installing my old 2g maf setup on the car with the dsmlink and injectors this week. Sooooo hopefully i be running in the 20psi range for americruise.

And i also figure out a problem i was having with brake boosting to launch. It would start cutting out at 2500 rpm well thats because i was a noob and set the antilag to start at 2500 rpm. upped it to 3400 and now it doesnt do it. didnt actaully get to launch because the gf was with me but hopefully tomorrow she will be all tuned and ready to go.

It was dyno'd on a superflow but all the numbers have DJ next to them so I'm assuming some type of dynojet correction was done.
I know 570 hp on single stock wired walbro is maxed out enough on regular gas that the pump is unable to maintain fuel pressure. It's hard to imagine getting away with another 30% more fuel on top of that.

Well ive installed the new turbo, a new bigger aluminum radiator, slim fan, fp oil feed and return lines, and changed my fuel filter for the first time since switching to e-85... I just finished making my plug adaptor to run an evo 8 maf. Im currently running a 2g maf but i got a good deal on my evo maf and a good deal selling my 2g maf so what the heck might as well. Im pretty sure i have a boost leak somewhere so tomorrow ill be doing a boost leak test and installing my evo 8 maf setup and retuning the car. hopefully it will be ready to rock after tomorrow.

Haven't updated this in a long ass time lol.... Back at the end of September i spun a rod bearing while racing (and beating) Alley and Evane. I rebuilt the motor and have been dailying the car since on a shitty 91 octane winter tune. In december i got in an accident and ****ed up the front pass side of the car. So im on the hunt for a new shell for the car. Im looking at one tomorrow so by the weekend i could have one.
the plans for the car at this point will be to get the shell and prep it for my auto swap. I will be adding.
- external oil cooler
- larger tranny cooler
- FMIC
-Revised Lifters
Money permitting
-AN 6 fuel line and filter from tank to rail
-4130 Chromoloy front crossmember
-Bosch 044 fuel pump
My hope is to get it done and ready by the end of april.. it just all depends on how funds work out with getting a shell.
Im shooting for low 11s on this set up... But low 10s have been done on a very similar setup with the same turbo.. Hopefully ill be going back to a two tone 1ga :D I should know tomorrow evening.

hope this works out man, can't wait to see it out running around again.
edit: what are you gonna do with the current shell if you do get the one you're looking for? keep it and drop in a stock 4g63 and daily it?

its a possibility especailly because of the car im looking at but i finincally doing that would not allow me to get any goodies like a fmic, tranny coler, and oil cooler for alot longer.
and SOB the guy just texted me and someone is going to look at the car right now, and its against everything in me to make an offer on a car before i even see it... but i told him to let me know their offer if i feel comfortable beating it..

Mike, are you running E85? If not, I would save the money on the -AN for the fuel lines at this point. I ran 50/50 pump E85 and I had plenty of line. JMO

Well unless there is an act of god I should have a shell on tuesday.. Im spending more on it that I originally was hoping too so I might not be do as many goodies to the car right away. However I think i will be happiest with this shell as it is super clean and has had alot of maintence and been taken well care of! But it will be getting a FMIC and possibly tranny cooler if i can afford it before I do the major swappage.

Theres the car it got delivered to me on tuesday. Have really touched it yet but plan to get out there and pull some of the manual specific stuff out this week so i can sell it.
Im trying to decide if i should do a battery relocation or if i should just run a small battery.....
Small battery will be 260 for battery and the bracket...
relocation will end up being like 100-175 depending on how i do it... but will be a pita
i have to do something with the battery as with my SMIM and FMIC the piping will hit the battery in stock location...
Ive currently decided to wait on the dual walbro set up untill this summer when i have more money and have a need for the extra fuel, as i need money for other things for this car right now..... I will probally still run an6 lines from the tank though.

here is how i did my battery relocation. i used one of these fuses on bolth sides of the wires to protect it incase it shorts out anywere and just used a thick amp wire and mounted the fuse block to the side of the bay by the trans mount. and just put the grounds to any were on the frame.

So I spent all day friday and saturday swapping over the drivetrain to the new shell and spent sunday rewiring the car and getting it running/ driving. It now runs like **** and drives. I wired up the maf wrong so that should fix the running problem. But ive got easily 3 more evenings worth of work cleaning up the wiring and looming it and just getting everything working correctly and installed.
also can a mod change the title of this w/l 92 Eagle Talon TSi AWD now a 91
