There is so much misinformation there. The blue Daytona on top was part of the indoor display at Mopars at Carlisle this year; one of 8 Banzai Blue R/Ts made.

I have a shelby like that last one, except red with silver stripes and no t-tops

The Shelby Daytonas were often loaded with options- Leather, power everything, 6-way power driver's seat, and came in close to 3000lbs. It was the '88-'90 CS models that were bare bones; all the performance parts, none of the frills except AC. They came in around 2500lbs. Daytonas were available with T-tops from 1986-1989, but not from the factory. The cars were modified by Cars & Concepts- the same company that made the Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe and Grand Prix 2+2.
And the Neon DOHC head conversion is NOT an easy bolt on deal. I only know of maybe half a dozen that have been completed. Lots of modification and fabrication is needed.
I do like how the coil is mounted in that red Daytona to make room for the methanol injection tank. I might have to look into that . . .

I might know the car you speak of . . . Probably not though.
If anyone can find me a straight, rust free '86 Turbo or Turbo Z, let me know. I don't care if it even has an interior or drivetrain, just a straight rust free body.
