a buddy of mine got pulled over a while back with no license, registration (and it was after 30 days), and facticious plates in the 92 civic hatch.... his license is reinstated he just hasnt gone to take the test and get the card. so i guess technicly he doesnt have a license. and he does have the title to the car but not registered. also the cop let him drive away. he has court soon and i told him he may go to jail since he has had 3 driving under suspensions from years ago.... but he wants to know and i figure some of you guys may know what will happen so any comments..... thanks
oh yeah... trust me i know, i told him he is a complete jackass for atleast not getting his license but he hasnt gone and got his license and he cant get the car registered yet due to issues with the title

i had the same thing happen to me. here is what i did. go to the attorney office.
show proof you have your license
show proof it was yours at the time you were driving
i then showed proof that i sold the vehicle. i dont know what you plan on doing about the plates, i was running plates that were 6 days past (i was pulled over in january with old plates) everything was dropped except a seat belt ticket.

He's lucky they let him drive away. I had a license, but left the plates from the PO on my car and they impounded the ****er. He's going to get a fine for the plates, and there's a good chance he'll lose his license a while longer. I don't know much about license suspensions, but I have been pulled over for the plates.

Ficticous plates are way worse than no plates. Dunno if he'll go to jail, but he better at least prepare for a few fines.
At least he had insurance on the car . . . right?

I'd say it depends on his color of skin.

Ficticious plates: $100
Driving under suspension while reinstated: $100
If he gets the car registered within 10 days: Dropped, otherwise $100

yes i have no room to talk... when i moved here i drove 1100 mile on facticiouse plates and a suspended license. but this is really for my friend, now my license is reinstated, and my car is registered and plated legally, i had to get a bonded title...... and if i was running facticiouse plates (wich i only did to make it up here without getting pulled over on a suspended license) i wouldnt be cruising around on O street on friday and saturday nights trying to race people.... now that would be just asking for it.

It means, if you're gonna be stupid about something such as transporting drugs or driving under suspensions, fake tags/plates etc, then at least don't do stupid things that could possibly get you pulled over for.

Yea, Joe, im saying if youre gonna drive without a license.. Make sure the vehicle is legal. Theres a smart way about being retarded. I know I was retarded for driving without a license, but I didnt drive anything that didnt have proper plates, all working lights, 100% legal, yadda yadda. Theres a smart way about being retarded.
And im pretty sure I spelled fictitious wrong.. too lazy to go look though.
