Well since I finally got the laser how I want it I finally got one of my dream cars. I have been trying to find a clean, rust free colt for a while now and after about a year I finally found the right one! My plans for this car are to rebuild my built motor and throw it in along with an built auto and convert the car to awd. The car will be a full interior car with a 6pt certified cage thats alredy in it and the windows will be getting tinted so you cant see the cage. The body will stay as stock as possible and will be getting steelies all around with drag radials, so my goal is to have a decent sleeper. Work on the awd swap will start as soon as I can find a 4bolt rear end, drive shaft, trans, and transfer case. While Im waiting the car will be getting wire tucked and all the wiring that was done for the swap already will also be getting cleaned up. With me actually having a job this school year this car should be getting done alot faster than the laser which will be a nice plus!! So far I have just stripped the interior for the rewire and awd swap.
On to pics:

Is this the one that blew the trans apart and the clutch went flying past them? This should be pretty badass when its done. I always wanted to turbo my Summit and its's already awd.

yes it was andrews old car and Im not sure on why he did. I bought it from a guy who bought it from him. All I know is andrew could floor it in first and second and it would never build any boost so I bet he didnt want to change setups or fix the car and just got rid of it but I dont know.

Wow that's actually redrum's old car? He spent so much time and money getting that thing running and it got torn down and sold in how long? Sad...but at least the new owner has big plans for it as well.

how hard is it to put the rear subframe in there to support a rearend?

Beans
19th October 2009, 07:58 PM
thanks guys and work will be put off for a while my daily needs a new head but work will resume as soon as its done. And the rear subframe mounts will be easy with just steel tubing going across the frame but the fronts Im not sure yet but ill figure it out.

AWD isn't the least bit impressive, unless youre going in the snow and mud. I don't see the point, sure youre gonna probably outlaunch some negro's LS1 at a stoplight every time. But big whoop, my camry can do that. Save yourself the time and money.

It would be completely pointless to go rear wheel drive that would cost way to much money, be way to difficult and would completely kill my sleeper look driving around with slicks in the back :ohnoes:.And the car will get decent 60fts with awd or at least decent enough for me.

Okay, I have a stupid question that has absolutely nothing to do with the plans or final outcome of the car.

Brake booster/maser cylinder on the passenger side of the car- How does that work? Is there some sort of pivot rod behind the dash to actuate it?

How much stuff that andrew fabbed up actually came with this car? The Dual Fuel pump assembly? Or did he completely strip it before originally selling it.

What? Why? SAY IT AIN'T SO!! Those guys hook me up! I really don't wanna get butt****ed by Performance Dodge. 90% of the time those guys can't even find what I'm looking for. The parts I bought today for instance- I bought the same parts 3 years ago for the Charger. Performance and most of the Turbo Mopar community think they are NS1- as in long discontinued.

$67 a side, two sides, estimated 180 each in stock. You do the math.
