So I got a pretty big speeding ticket and the fine is BIG! Anyone know how they decide how much to fine you on a speeding ticket?

I got a 105 in a 45 :scared: :sillyme: $345 :eek2smiley: That just seems crazy to me...

Did you have a passenger? I was by myself on the bike.

Nope, no passenger, nobody around, yada yada. I got ****ed hard by the long **** of the law on that one.

You're lucky they didn't charge you with willful reckless driving. That's one tick below a DUI on your driving record. $345 is cheap.

Damn. I need to control myself on that damn thing. Its got me more tickets in 3 months than i've got in 5 years.

Whenever you start exceeding 100 MPH, the charges can pile up. I think in Kansas they can charge you with attempting to commit suicide. May sound like a funny charge, but certain employers will not hire you and it can hamper your ability to own a fire arm if you're into those.

Once upon a time I was stupid like you, mine was for 91 in a 50 (gravel) and I was going faster (120ish), thats what they lowered it too. Still do you see how ****ing retarded this is? I totally understand the feeling and I love it but what if you killed someone? If you killed my family or friends I would rape you with a truck axle.

Yeah I know it was stupid but we have all done it. I also knew you guys would call me stupid . Even though it was in town where I got the ticket going fast out in the country is not really a big deal. I haven't decided wether to actually sell the bike or just get some self control

I spent couple grand, 9 months with no license (6 + 3) and I have a ridiculous insurance payment now for going less over. You are freaking luccccccky.

96speedZ28
9th July 2009, 02:40 PM
Yeah im sure my insurance is not going to be very happy with me. I don't think they know about my last ticket I got either. Hopefully they don't find out about both of them at the same time. :ohnoes:

i'll trade you straight across for a bike that'll be slower. since its doing u a favor and saving on tickets i think a straight trade is fair.

9th July 2009, 03:56 PM
Not really possible because he was coming the opposite way and just turned infront of me so I had nowhere to go. This guy was pissed! He was a state trooper and he got on his loud speaker and said "TAKE OFF YOUR HELMET" and yanked the papers outta my hand. I think he would have ran me over. ** running anyways...

I got a ticket just like that, 105 in a 45 and reckless on the bridge going on to 180 at 10th and Q, I was by myself on a bike. Ended up taking an "attitude" class to get the reckless dropped and paid a $244 fine. I referred to the fine as a "speed tax" hence the attitude class so don't say that although that is exactly what it is. The officer told me the 105 is the highest they are supposed to write to prevent speeders from trying to top eachother.

The court dropped my reckless ticket i got with my 160 in a 55 before i even had a chance to pay it. I think that ticket was 345$ or something.

All these speeds in a 45? You guys need a bullet to the head.

96speedZ28
10th July 2009, 02:22 PM
:lost:

Its not like we are crusing at 100+ in a 45 zone. Most bikes can slow down just as fast as they get up to that speed. I know that doesn't make it right but its not that big of a deal.

Buzzed driving is drunk driving. My truck has 1-4 gears and John deere, Oliver and Allis in that order. **** you Martin I am glad your going back to your goat ****ing homeland. ****. I drink and drive in 50 mph so I still win.

I don't care that you drink and drive, merley pointing out the hypocrisy silly.

I think there is a difference mostly because I drive at least 10 under on some back road where you maybe me someone every 10-20 miles instead of proving how big my **** is while driving on the same road families and children are on. If I am in a wreck I am 99% sure I will just kill myself (no big loss really) but these guys will more than likely take someone with them even if the cause is someone trying to avoid driving over the bloody spot and loosing control. Still your right, they are exactly the same. See the difference is I am just trying to kill myself, and these guy want to take someone along for the ride.

yeah..are you some kind of ****ing retard? in a parking lot seriously? You should be banned for driving, speeding on an interstate/hwy is understandable because most of the time it occurs when there are no cars/civilians. But a parking lot? Wow...
