ok, i put a small system in my 07 silverado and my old sub decided to blow up. i need 1-10" sub. im running an Alpine M650 amp, heres the specs.
mono subwoofer car amplifier
400 watts RMS x 1 at 4 ohms (600 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms)
variable low-pass filter (50-200 Hz, 24 dB/octave)
tuned Bass EQ (0-12 dB bass boost at 50 Hz)
subsonic filter (24 dB at 15 Hz)
MOSFET power supply
CEA-2006 compliant
STAR Topology (minimizes internal noise and prevents ground interference)
speaker- and preamp-level inputs
gold-plated screw terminals
fuse rating: 30A x 2
what would you stereo people recommend me to buy for a sub that would match up with my amp nicely? i dont really care about cost either as long as its not over a grand for a dam woofer.

You looking for sound quality?
The Type R from Alpine is pretty popular. Sounds good and is cheap. There's a **** load of choices out there. I think a kicker 10" will handle that 600 watts RMS...i'd have to go check.

Yep, here's a DVC 4 ohm L7 from Kicker. Just wire it up in parallel. I have no idea what these sound like but it will handle your 600 watts RMS. I've just heard good things about them so that's why I am recommending them. Just go read some reviews.

You might wanna look into the "RE" line as well. I remember hearing good things about them, but i haven't been around the audio world in years...It's a SQL sub.

Since it's a truck, do you have an size constraints? I know a lot of people with trucks have to run shallow mount subs because there is such little room to work with.
Also, what are the specs on the box this sub will go on?
