I'm pretty sure 95% of this board would rather spend ~20k on a Corvette then a Salvage titled RSX with 179k on it that will need a new clutch bc its starting to slip (from obviously beating on the car)

You might want to talk him into reconsidering lowering the price again. He might get lucky and find a sucker. but the odds of that are slim and with the economy being ***ty people wont spend that kind of money on a vehicle that is questionable and that will need new parts soon.

SWEET! Just got the first email. Potential buyer :woot:
You do realize that you have this car listed at nearly twice the Kelly Blue Book value, right? Also, you claim it has never been raced, but list its 1/4 mile time? I don't understand. Are you willing to negotiate the price on this car?

He said it's way too nice to let go for under $15k so he's just going to keep it
Kelvin

i wouldnt take less than 15k for it either. he should consider putting it under a tarp and wait for the value to sky rocket in a few months.
roo
11th June 2009, 09:29 PM
That's very true. This recession has really hurt the value of that car
Kelvin
11th June 2009, 09:31 PM
does it have matching numbers? i know it says salvage title, but if it was to be cut in half by an amtrak train, it could still potentially have matching numbers, even though it was slightly damaged by an amtrak train.

Yes, this is a numbers matching car meaning it could be a collectors car someday $$$

roo
11th June 2009, 09:50 PM
Actually you're in for a treat. This car was one of the RARE optioned ones that didn't come with the floor mat package. I don't have the exact count but I would imagine there was very few cars ordered like this making it one of the RAREst.
If he asks about the maintenance just tell him ITS A HONDA
