Hwy 6 Wed Accident.

well some of you may have heard about it. the accident shut down the high way for 4-5 hours. The truck involved is from where I work. I have a couple of pics of the truck. the guy driving the car that hit him head on wasn't paying attention and lost his life. be careful out there..

I work in driver checkin. the name don't ring a bell. he may be one of our over the road drivers I rarely see, unless he's new I may not know there name yet.

He was one of my asian foods drivers that switched there. He was there about a year ago, so he may have left or who knows.

speaking of which, are they hiring yet for delivery drivers? my fat ass needs to lose weight. I've stopped in twice over the last year and a half with no success.

A mail contractor going to Indiana twice a week. I'm nervous as hell getting on Sysco though. It's been a long time since I did that kind of work and I KNOW I'll be slow as **** now and completely out of shape. haha

that's cool though they have you go with a driver for a couple of weeks show ya the ropes its pretty easy. we have some older out of shape fellows that aren't the fastest but they make there time.

I just hope I can get my case count up and make the money I really need to. I'd be coming in at a very impracticle time of my life. I'll talk to them monday. thanks for the heads up.

case count won't be a problem trust me the trucks are loaded pretty decently. you'll make good money.

well you could ask for Joe Yelkin I believe he's the manager now up in transportation. I know him pretty well he was a super down in the warehouse for years. The old guy in trans got fired this year. not sure if they will make you fill out an app or not might want to start in the front office. they can page him.
