I think I've finally settled on an ignition system for my Z28 but I'd like to get the opinion of the "Smarter people than me" on this board.

I like this set up for its easy functionality, the multiple Rev limiters and for the fact that it also has a built in window switch whitch I can use for my Nitrous system.

I just want to know if there is something I'm missing? I know everyone has their opinions on brand, MSD, Mallory etc. but I think this one fits the best. If I wanted to save $10 I could go with the Summit branded version but I'll stick with the Mallory. :D

The easy-to-read remote digital display with simple push button adjustability makes tuning anything but difficult. And if that's not enough, they're easily upgradeable with a variety of add-on components

I think you better just buy it and find out. I think all aftermarket ignition boxes have their share of problems. I would buy the summit knock off myself just to have the summit name on my ignition. I think it looks a little more classy when you pop the hood and have something that says summit on it vs mallory.

If i'm not mistaken, Mallory is straight from china stuff nowadays.

Mallory = Junk.

My Malibu had all Mallory junk on it....I took it all off, threw it away and replaced it with all MSD. Pretty rare you see any big dog racers run anything but MSD.

Might want to double check that Jasen, I mean yes, the majority use MSD but that does'nt make it right. I'm finding a lot are switching to Mallory because of a lot of problems with MSD. Maybe I'm reading to much stuff on Yellow Bullet but the things I'm reading make sense...

I was just looking for someone to say "Hell No!" because of some experience they had with this box.

I'm 99% sure this is what I'm gonna end up with...

I think Hillbilly uses the Mallory VI on his car. Our buddy Doug does as well. I have goofed around with theirs a little and they are well featured for the money.

Have you considered ditching the ignition system and converting it over to a diesel?

Oh yeah, you were going to put a duramax in it at one time. You should move forward on that idea.

I had thought of that in a different camaro like 3 years ago. Turns out I wasn't the only one with that idea as others beat me to it.
