1998 BMW 540i Sport Edition. $6495 OBO!

I am selling my 1998 540i Sport Edition. Reason i am selling is cause i do not need to have this many cars, and i don't have the time or money to fix the few things it needs. The cars runs great and drives, but the trans is in SAFE MODE which makes it drive in 3rd gear. It will still get you home and over town, but you only have the 3rd gear, reverse,par, and neutral.

The engine has a completely rebuilt bottom end. The botom end only has 51,xxx miles on it. I still have contact with the previous owner and he said a guy from Markel BMW did all the work on it. THe front suspension could use some update with a couple bushings and would probaly be good. But other then that the car runs and drives.

I prefer not to take payments. IF i did, i would keep title and car until completly paid off, with Bill of Sales for every payment, and a guarentee.

If your buddy is interested let me know. I just FRESHLY did the A/C and blows nice and cold, so whomever buys it can drive it home nice and cool. :)

I am suprised the car actually cruises in 3rd on the interstate cause at like 60 or so its still like low 2000rpms i believe. Just imagine when i gets in the 5th gear...

Small update** Yesterday when a guy came over to look at the car, and for some reason the drivers rear window fell off track. We tried to pull it up but ended up messing up the window. The window is still intack cause of the tint, but will need to be replaced. I am able to get one, or the buyer can buy one themselves.

IS the window regulator bad as well or just the window?

as far as i know and when i have rolled the window down it has always worked.
For some reason it fell off track but the motor still does work. I havent completely looked at the reg. to see how it all works or what needs to be fixed. But the broken window is still intack, and i have the door panel off at the moment.

I will just include the piece of glass to the buyer.
