So i bought a new daily last week, got myself a 1989 S10 4cylinder 5speed truck only has 98,000 miles on it. Truck has been lowerd a few inches, newer front grill, and rear rollpan :Thumb:.
What ive all done to it so far
-changed all the spark plugs
-oil change
-New waterpump (Went out 2 days after geting it home)
-Front bumper
-20% tint
-3RD gen Z28 Wheels (Thanks to Andrew69_04)
-Cleaned it up a bit, Full detail, and rust touchup:D
-Few other little things, headliner, and door seals

It actually looks a ton better than it did in the first pics. My father-in-law always says that about the 100mph on a dark night thing. Wasn't serious.

older s-10s suck on gas anyway...I can get 16 + with my carbed 350. Then you can just unplug a few spark plug boots and then it will be in 4 or 6 cylinder mode.

my ls1 t56 s10 got 30 from NE to KS, and still put down 400 to the wheels

Truck is a 4cy and for once jeffo is right, does pretty damn good so far

ls1 t56 always do good, to bad i cant drive it to school tho :joe:

Just have to check salvage yards...I never had any luck so I ended up just fixing mine up.

so how hard is it to drop a 350 or LS1 into a S10? I found a nice S10 xtreme I like and wanted to know if there is a **** ton of fabrication that goes into droping a v8 into these trucks

A friend of mine dropped a 350 in his and isn't too car savvy. I think they make a kit with the mounts and headers to drop in a SBC

Well i am debating wether to redo this whole truck but that depends on if i can find a box for it or not.

Anyone know of any 1st gen short boxes out there?

I had no luck finding a good box for mine that wasn't either rusted or completely beat to hell. So we just worked with my old box.

Its just an option that they give them, has A/C and the nicer interior, if you have ever looked at jesses his is a sport and has the shitty interior and no options
