I got a iMac.
Not a new one but an old one.
OSX 10.2
1GHZ
256MB
ATI Video
80GB HD
17" LCD
I got it for free so I couldn't pass it up.
I'm ****ing lost on this POS. I can't get it to turn off the shitty clear type that makes fonts fuzzy.
The mouse has no ****ing scroll. WTH is that???? I got firefox on it so it's a little better. It needs more ram though thats forsure.
When I try to reformat this ***** it locks up. Google can't help me with anything. But for a free PC it will do good in my new living room for guests and party goes to use.
I know have 5 pcs. 2PC desktops, 1 Server 03, 1 laptop, and now 1 mac.
I WILL HACK YOU!!!!!
Can put linux on this POS MAC?

Guy at work no longer wanted it so asked if I knew someone that wanted a mac. I said I'd get the word out and asked how much he wanted. He said free, and I said it's mine.
Something tells me with Ubuntu though the CD tray will no longer eject since it's built into the keyboard?

Nope thats the first place I looked.
No lies took me 10 mins to figure out those retards put it on the key board. Normally where the - is on the number pad.
Also looks like Yellowdog Linux is the only good linux that works on these things.
BTW back on one of my PC's. This is so much better.
O AND Why the **** has my post count not been fixed>?

just pulled this out of nowhere
In Mac OS X 10.1 and higher, the F12 function key is assigned by
default to the task of opening and closing the CD/DVD tray on
third-party keyboards which are missing a dedicated Eject key.
(Note: you may have to press and hold that key for a second or two.)

It's possible, but I am not that ambitious. My work sells everything necessary to make that happen. I got a 17" touch screen just haven't found a good use for it yet. I was thinking my garage but then it will get greasy, so I dunno.
Coffee table You want it under the glass so nothing spills on it so touch won't work.

I installed Ubuntu 7.XX last night, it sucked
I installed Ubuntu 6.xx also, it sucked as well.
Both didn't do much for hardware recognition. I went to grab Yellow Dog linux and my ADHD kicked in and couldn't wait for the 4GBs of data so I said **** it and grabbed a 10.4 ( tiger) disk from office since we have a mac for our print designer.
So yeah.
Andrew 200 and it's yours. I see thats about the going rate. otherwise it goes in my coffee table, possibly.
I'll be in town Sunday. :)
I can bring it with me. It's got a fresh install on it now.

Not going to lie, it's got a decent design.
What truely amazes me is the LCD. I mean this thing is from 2003. ( late 2003 ) And it has a 17" 1440x990 screen. That at the time was a feat on it's own. The really crazy thing is how thin the panel is. If you compare it to a screen today it's still a thinner panel and this ***** is 4 years old.
Granted it doesn't have the best black levels, or a great viewing angle but for 03 this thing was ahead of it time.
I'll give props when it's due and this thing does deserve some forsure.
However the iphone, and ipod still do not. I pee on your phone, and ipod.

I have a MM phone from 1 year ago.
It was way head of it's time. It has a touch screen, 4GB SD card. Plays AVI, WMV, divx, mp3, mp4, flac, and much much more plus has a full keyboard. O yeah google maps, you tube, IM, and more for applications.
To bad MS didn't call it iPhone they would have fooled all the emo trendy assholes into buying one. Hell they could have even dropped half the features and made millions.
