Charlie McBride looks to be taking back over as defensive coordinator, developer of the blackshirts

There's only one way to get the program back to where it was in the 90's. And that is to hire back all the old coaches. I hope your source is right :) lol

I highly doubt it. Also, Charlie McBride didn't "develop" the blackshirts. That term has been around since Devaney's second or third season.

Have you ever heard of Jerry Murtaugh? As usual, you don't really know what you are talking about when it comes to Nebraska football.

McBride is too beat up to play D-coordinator again.
If for some odd reason, he does come back, then thank god we might have a program that contend in a couple years.

It's nice to see people start spelling Rimington's name right because I kept reading Remington and for a couple of days' I was confused.

The Bullocks bros were animals under Pelini, I want that system back. I love safeties all over the field catching more balls than the receivers. More of that please.

i could care less about our offense being mediocre, defense is what its all about
our offense will eventually score, we need to beable to just shut people down w/ defense

Defense can score TD's but the offense can't stop the other team from getting them.

My friend whos son was being recruited by Nebraska called and said they call him today and asked if he would submit a new tape (CD) for reconsideration! I think the fact that he set a record last week for his school with 28 tackles in a single game might have something to do with it? I hope they get him, 230lbs 6'3" and can run!

I think after the season is over, they should fire Calahan adn Cosgrove and bring back Pelini as the head coach.

He hates Steve Pederson. He loves Lincoln. The fans love him. Pederson is gone.
I don't think its a stretch to see Pelini back here. Regargless, it will only be for a HC position, but I would take that. I love that guy!
