Heres a build ive been keeping an eye on all year. Its a 99 Sentra SE-L, normally these come with a pretty standard SR20DE...
Not a bad looking car, but its a sentra...

Pretty badass build really, its the first of B14 sentras to get a VQ35 swap, many b15s have done it though. The b15s with a bone stock chassis and bonestock VQ usually run 11.9s-12.2s consistantly on slicks i hear. This car is substantially lighter, has cams, headers and a standalone. Should be quick id think
Im sure some of you will think its gay, so just dont post.... its just something diffrent that the guy built, and it will be fast, 11s for sure.

That would surprise a lot of people around here, or anywhere really. I personally wouldn't expect much out of a car that looked like that, and then proceed to get owned.

No doubt, there should be dyno vids next week and hopefully a track run with in the month. I'd seriously doubt if it doesnt break high 11s...d

that is pretty sweet, although I would ditch the cheesy headlights, and go for painted hood pins

The headlights are real low on his list but they're getting stock replacements... and the whole car is getting repainted eventually.

well the car is clean, and obviously has some well spent time and money into,
to have some 40$ ebay headlights and corner lights just kills it.
if the pins were absolutely needed, I would try to blend them in, they look tacky and out of place. for the price of a good oil change he could get oem replacement housings and it would be that much cleaner.
idk i am not hating but to go soo far and buildsomething that nice, and have 40$ ebay jdm tyte halo projectorz, just doesnt seem right to me.

You're looking way too far into the headlights... the car had them when he got it and all the money has gone towards the motor and other needed parts. The pins were needed if you notice the center radiator support is not there, so no hood latch. Id defiantely say those hood pins are a lot better than what people normally use. And from what hes said the pins will be gone once the car is finished and the new radiator support is finished (a guy is building one). Let alone, the headlights will be replaced when its all repainted (the front bumper is ****ed up).

mkay.
I am looking at the car as a whole, and outside of the headlights and mis colored hood pins it looks great, I already said all this.
IMO
if the pins were absolutely needed, I would try to blend them in, they look tacky and out of place
so if there eventually not needed, then great
cross that one out.
as I said
something that looks Soo bad and cheap and cheesy, basicaly IMO
ruining the front end of the car, only costing as much as a mobil 1 oil change
if he can afford brembos and aem ems, I would really hope he could fork out less than the price of a full tank of premium, to really make that car great looking.

Keep in mind, this car literally started up for the first time two days ago.... so the project is far from done.
