1991 Sunbird. 160k miles. 5 speed.
This has been a great daily driver for me for a year now. I'm just selling becuase I want to get a 4x4.

The Good:
Reliable. Has started every morning for me even in below 0 temps.
Body is in great shape. No rust.
Tires have tons of tread left.
Interior is in good shape.
I have recently replaced the spark plugs, T-stat, 02 sensor, air filter.

The Bad:
Has a little bit of a misfire. Could need new wires, or a coil pack may be going out.
Leaks a little coolant and oil.
It could use a new clutch.
A/C currently don't work, but might just need to be refilled.
Something with the rear struts rattle over bumps.

Sure its got some issues, but what car under $1k don't. I'll sell for $800 OBO. NO TIRE KICKERS!

As a previous owner of this car,twice..I'll highly vouch for it. The rattle in the back is just shock mounts,$10 and 30 minutes and a couple hand tools. Hell if someone buys it for the asking price I'll install the mounts for them. Id like to buy this back back but Id have to part with the malibu to do so.

Clutch will probably go for quite awhile yet,it's been a little soft for about 5 yrs.
The A/C needs a recharge and a dryer line and it'll work great, very cheap and easy to do.
Car's also had new rear shocks, alternator and a tuneup in the last 10k miles also.

Car was from central texas/southern oklahoma most of it's life and didnt come up here to the salt belt until about 02,thus it's mostly rust free.
The 3.1 V6 5-speed was a rare combo for the base model sunbirds which were alot lighter than the GT's. That being said, this car in it's hay day ran door to door with several stock V8 3rd gen camaros and would walk away from 4.6 auto moostang GT's. :woot:
