i know there are rebuild kits for turbos and that you can rebuild it yourself but i was also under the impression that you have to get it balanced after you rebuild it. so are there any local (lincoln/omaha) shops that can balance turbos? or is it really unnecessary?

no throw it on the car and dont run a wastegate, those things are overrated

it was just a general question. not a specific turbo. sometimes its easier to come across turbos that are blown/really used, so i didn't know if there was any one setup to do this locally to cut out shipping.
no wastegate got it. that saves me a couple hundred. good looking out. hahaha.

the shaft speeds of industrial diesel turbos and aftermarket car turbos are different.

no place in nebraska does it themselves, I looked into this like 2 years ago, they all send them out to someone, so you might as well just do it yourself, and cut out the middle man.
