What does that dakota have in it? I mean nothing against it.....I am sure it is fast for a truck, but its a truck......my dakota has some good pick up and go with that v8 in it but I know for a fact if i could race myself in my mustang I would smoke myself.

After asking which car was the quickest of the bunch, they pointed to a white Integra GSR with a turd can, intake, different colored plug wires, and a strut tower brace. I ended up pissing them off because I ran home and switched my 03 GT for my pos auto SHO. He didn't even want to "waste his gas" on me, but then he ended up losing to that heap of **** I was driving.

No matter what some 5.0 nutswingers will claim, even the lightest Fox Body won't even see low 14s in stock form like a New Edge GT will on average. Some New Edge GT's will go 13s if the typical Mustang owner isn't behind the wheel.

Back in 1989, Car and Driver was freaking out because they managed to beat the **** out of a LX 5.0 Fox to a 14.7.......

They are hit or miss really. I was researching dyno numbers for different bolt-ons on the Fox Body, and each car is night and day difference from the next. For all you know, that could have been one of the harder running ones. :confused:

One thing I noticed with the 87-93 5.0, is that most 92-93 5.0's were laying down pretty much 15 less whp then a 87-91 5.0L. I know emissions really effected them, but it must have been more then just a little bit.

On another note about the 5.0L, the 93 Cobras were actually pretty damn nasty compared to other run of the mill 5.0's. Those things were putting down pretty much the same as a New Edge GT (225whp), and most were seeing 240whp with just an H pipe and a catback. I was surprised by that.

Well, a mustang has always been her favorite car, so she can pick those out pretty well. She is actually pretty aware of different brands of cars. It really surprised me. She drives a grand prix though.....which I have to say is an awesome choice! ;):D

Not necessarily. If you compare the trap speeds of both LT1s and New Edge GT's, both are right at 97-100mph. No matter how you look at it (roll, dig, etc) they are very similar.
