I don't feel like spending $200 for the integration kit for my car so I'm just gonna pick up an FM transmitter after work. Any recommendations?

i think its well worth your time/money for the integration kit, or you might consider purchasing an aftermarket radio with AUX input or IPOD interface, assuming thats what you need. the one i bought for my zune sucked, but with the AUX input built into the radio sounded great.

That's what I had on the 240 but I would need a weird deck to make it look good in the bimmer. I think I will get the integration thing but not for now.

Get the kind that is "wired in". It basically goes between the antenna and the radio.

That sounds like it work a bit better. And kelvin it was just some clarion one.
I bought a transmitter before I left Lincoln and it blows. I thought I could put up with it until I got the good stuff, but no, this **** is getting returned as soon as I'm back in Lincoln.

I am going to run one of the antenna style inputs for my Mustang. Can I still use the radio normally?

yes, it goes inline with the antenna and still transmits on a frequency. Since its wired in though, you get much better sound quality.

I think im just gonna get rid of the CD changer since I never use it, and just hook up my iphone to that input

too bad your car doesn't have a production date of 9/2002 or later...
or you could just get the OEM AUX Input.

I thought about getting one out of an newer 3 series and putting it in mine, but too much money for not enough gain.

If money and skills were no problem, I'd have the 16:9 Nav.
Then again if money wasn't a problem, I'd have an M
