I went to pay my open container ticket that I got like the first week of december. I hand the lady my ticket and the money. She thens says she has no record of it, maybe it hadn't been filed yet. The ticket was issued over a month and a half ago and the court date is in a week. She put the money in a holding account and it will be payed if the ticket ever shows up on their records or the will send me a check if it doesn't. Has this ever happend to someone on here? What's the chance it will show up or is it more likely that the cop never filed it?

sounds like the cop ****ed up. its usually in the ca office within a week or so.

i had a similar incident. i showed up to court and they asked why. i told them i got a ticket for reckless driving and they said they didnt have it on record. i left LOLZ

Same thing happened to me with a speeding ticket, he eventually filed it long after the court date and I got a warning in the mail saying if I didn't pay I would get my license suspended.

If I were you I would go to court on your date and hope that they drop it since its not filed, it'd be worth a shot.

yeah thats happened to me on a speeding ticket that was 120 bucks for going ten over and they didn't have it on file. but just go to court and it should be dropped

It has happened to me before. I wouldn't count on you not still receiving the ticket.

The girl that was with me just called down there and they don't have her ticket either. Hope that means the cop didn't turn ours in, he definatly had better **** to worry about.

Well **** the girls ticket that I was with was filed today so guess that means mine was also.
