Start looking into what needs to be changed in the wiring harness or just find a dohc harness/ecu setup and you'll be golden, not worth finding a sohc.

Yes for my Son,Boohra, well as far as how much he can pay,it would depend on mileage and condition,he does not have alot money though. Is the one you have a 90 motor?Thanks.......If we go with the later 95 DOHC one where can we find the ECU and harness? Also I read that if you use a 95 motor you have to have a earlier dist and coilpack.....May be hard to locate all this stuff to do the swap on a budget.......Boorah let me know what you have for a engine for him...We do have the ECU with the 95 motor if it will work but I do not think it will...With our limited knowledge on these cars it would be best to just find a original engine I think.Bruce

Well it rolled over 113k today. It is still in my car, great condition, has an oil leak that I will have fixed by this weekend. Very well maintained, always used synthetic oil, spark plugs and wires regularly changed, seafoamed at most oil changes.
When would you need it by?

Harness/ecu is pretty easy to get ahold of if you check a few junkyards its easy to wire up the dizzy/coil pack. clubnico.com zilvia.net 240sxforums.com are a few 240 forums to start checking out for information.

Theres a nice power gain going with a DOHC so if u want somewhat of a project u should go that route.

Well right now at my kids driving level and what insurance costs maybe he should downgrade to a Yugo motor instead of a DOHC...........LOL

lol understandable, also if theres a blown motor in it u could always rebuild it urself, theres cheap ebay kits for it.
