I'm pulling the motor and replacing it. I plan to install some new auxilary lights on the front bumper. I'm going to take off the flares and paint the grey part at the bottom with bed liner.

Grey03GT
6th January 2009, 11:49 AM
It's true i would like to go 4 inches and get some 32's.

c0z
6th January 2009, 06:02 PM
Nice. I've never read much about those, but have seen quite a few for cheap, and quite a few pretty sweet looking ones. I'd personally just lift it a little, put a locker in the rear, and get some treadwright 31s or 33s, and have fun with it.

toom1h
6th January 2009, 06:06 PM
I've got the bb on mine. but I'm also going to go with the cheap way of doing about a 4-4.5 in lift while only spending about 300 bucks :)

turbodaytona87

double BB?

toom1h
6th January 2009, 06:21 PM
i said cheap not stupid...

all you really need is a 4.5 lifted front coil spring.
get the correct lcas and etc.
do a f>r swap and put one of my 2'' bb there as well

turbodaytona87
6th January 2009, 06:54 PM
where do you get the 4.5" spring?

toom1h

probably just ebay

turbodaytona87

Hillbilly

Grey03GT
8th January 2009, 11:23 PM
Yeah i plan to trim the front fenders for some 33's when i get a 4.5 inch lift.

toom1h
9th January 2009, 12:27 AM
what lift you getting

turbodaytona87
9th January 2009, 07:32 AM
Will you need to trim at all with a 4.5" lift and 33's?

fmstruck
9th January 2009, 07:46 AM
If he just wants to drive it in town on 33s, no. If he wants to seriously off road it he will have to seriously trim the fenders.

toom1h

DAMN! I put some lights on the front bumper using the original mounting holes. Well i just went over to the my brothers and ones ****ing broke off. I still don't have the motor out yet. One of the bolts for the T-case cross member is rounded, so i jut got a bolt extractor tonite. Hopefully that will get it off. I'm going to be ordering http://treadwright.com/Tires-31x10_50R15_M_T-P16.aspx at the begining of next month hopefully it's done by then. I'm also going to be picking up some black steel wheels.

I'm going in a different direction with my jeep:shock::woot:

Grey03GT
12th March 2009, 09:56 PM
Woot found out this ***** is rare. According to oreilly's there never was a 92 Cherokee with a 4.0 just the 4 cyl.

turbodaytona87
12th March 2009, 10:24 PM
You must've gotten a retarded counter guy, their website lists a 92 Cherokee with the 4.0l

Grey03GT
12th March 2009, 10:35 PM
The new motor is from a 94 Grandcherokee and the flexplates must be different cuz the Torque converter is not bolting up so i called to find out if they were different.

toom1h
12th March 2009, 11:42 PM
probably because you probably got a 4.0 that use to bolt up to a ax-15

Grey03GT

Grey03GT
19th March 2009, 10:05 PM
I still have to pull the tranny out and switch flex plates. Took off the flares today and marked where i'm going to cut and fold the fenders under.

Fired it up tonight. I've decided it's going olive drap green with Black Bead locks. I'm also thinking of putting a white star on it somewhere maybe across the hood of behing the rear tires even with the tail lights?
Anyways here's some better pics of the tire clearance, still not done cutting the fender.
