ive seen alot of talk about propane injection and have just a few questions about it as i know nothing of this sort
what is the injection rate ie air/propane ratio?
how is it injected to the motor, modified tbi, mpi, carb?
what kind of mileage does it get compared to gas
what kind of power can it make?
questions may be inaccurate but you should get the point on what im looking for

Propane injection is for diesels. Gas engines just use a carburetor with propane.

propane is a vapor and its put in by a carburator. 10% loss of mpg 10% loss of power on the same engine but it has a octane of 110 to you can bump the compression and get the same or better of both. I don't know the a/f. House propane today $1.30 a gallon.

I haven't really found it for cheap in Lincoln, but I didn't try too hard to be honest.
I believe the A/F of propane is 15.5:1

it should be like 13 something case its AIR to fuel.

 thanks. I looked at propane as a serious option for my truck, but I really do like the tunability of a standalone, not too mention the knock monitoring/timing retard, switchable fuel/ignition maps.
That and propane systems(tanks, lines, the carb, etc) are foreign to me.

Just wanted to post, I know this is mostly done on trucks, but if anyone wants to do it with a car. The area containing the propane tank must be sealed off from passengers and stereo equipment.
