My uncle has a 98 silverado, K truck with the 5.7L motor in it. It has oil leaking out of the timing cover. Due to it warping. Can anyone help me find an aftermarket timing cover with the ccrank sensor hole that is some sort of metal????

I have a timing cover. I am not sure where it is.

I would just replace it with a new plastic one. There are THOUSANDS of these trucks that have that cover and don't leak. His got hot or something to be leaking.

well from what i know and the dealer told us the same thing. and laughed and said. are you just trying to replace the plastic one that is on there. cuz the new one will probably leak right away as well.
