well now that i have a dd talon i would like to make it as enjoyable as possible to drive since its not fast like the other one lol. im gonna start off by getting a decent deck thats ipod ready. i had this one in mind http://www.7elephants.com/_e/CAR_STEREO/product/245PIO5900-RB/Pioneer_DEH_5900_In_Dash_CD_MP3_WMA_WAV_iTunes_AAC _Receiver_RB_.htm im watchin on on e-bay right now hopin it goes cheap.

then i wanna get a set of 10 or 12in subs no clue what to get and would like some advice. i dont wanna spend a **** ton and if curt would chime in and lmk what the pawn shop has that would be nice.

then i just wanna replace the speakers in the car 6x9s in the rear if this one doesnt have 6x9s factory (some didnt) i have the plates to make it. have to double check its 6x9 tho but something like that
then i belive the doors are 5 1/4 or w/e
and not sure about the tweeters up front.

lmk what you guys reccomend thats not insanely expensive just trying to do it for a good price.

im a pioneer fan btw but open to other brands too.

If I were to redo my stereo on a budget build I would do a set of kicker cvr's...they are cheap as **** and sound decent for the money imo

Be careful with putting the 6x9's in the back, if the magnet is to large on the back you wont be able to fit it in there, and if you do, you may not be able to put the plastics back on. Do some measuring before you decide on anything.

why pioneer ftl? im more or less a pioneer head unit fan have no preference on speakers. but would like some that are pretty decnt cuz back in my old laser i put x-plodes and well yea after a few months they did just that.

as far as subs go either 10s or 12s as i wanna keep some of my trunk space

ive had several premiers, including the p1r if you know what that is. They are good decks for the most part but i have found alpine to be simpler to use, more reliable and more powerful. Premier is decent but ive found better.

Im putting 2 premier prs-d5000spl amps in the TL right now, i had them sitting in the basement and figured might as well make use of them.

Ive always had Alpine decks, and for some reason, everyone i had, the cd would skip after a while.. I would play the cd in a different player, and it would work fine.
Mike, today at CC they had 2 12" kicker CVR subs for $100. Thats a pretty decent deal, but i think its over now :(

Good thing my Alpine deck doesn't play CDs. It's designed specifically for iPod compatibility.
