my 95 del sol has an h23, but it has no Cat. If I were to get exhaust for a 95 del sol, is it gonna meet up with the header from the h23? the flanges look the same etc but I'm not if they'll meet up correctly. I was just gonna get a test pipe, that would work wouldn't it?

I would just get a test pipe. Cheaper, easier, and not many worries about the legalities of it here in good ole Nabraski.

probably depends on if the header is a "cat delete" header or just a standard one.

uh no cause being an h23 everything is different from the d series that came in it. what he has is a bunch of mismatched **** slapped together(swapped honda). the work and money that it takes to do an h-series swap is substantial, doing that for the output of a h23 is questionable at best, i dont know why anyone would do that.

Swap an h22a head on it

I read about that somewhere, Apparently its a HUGE pain in the ass to swap that head on. Somethin I could give a **** less about at the moment lol

So shaggy, do I need to run by dougs or another place and get some custom exhaust made up? Or just get a test pipe? the exhaust doesn't look too complicated and looks stock... im wondering if stock del sol exhaust lines up.

its not THAT bad of an idea, h23 head doesnt flow for ****...and it wouldnt be a huge pain in the ass at all. Everything bolts up, all you would really need is a head, intake mani, header, and a vtec ecu. I could have the head swapped in a few hours, the wiring would be a different story tho since i have no clue what kind of cluster**** i would be dealing with. oh and you would have to use h22 manifolds cause they are different than h23.

the problem with the swap is that the h23 has a longer stroke and lower redline, so the benefits from the vtec head wouldnt be completely attainable because the vtec makes it power at the high rpms. h22 and h23 blocks are the same, just different stroke and bore.

If you want some **** slapped together, go to dougs. if you want some nice custom **** fabricated go to the shop inc.
